Posté le 21 mars 2009 à 22:05:00 par gpspassion. EN - Site Source : Gpspassion
Updated March 22nd, 2009 We have a new poll running on the portal and in the forums : "Are you : Garmin, Mio, Navigon, TomTom, Other" and so far we have : 39% Garmin, 24% Mio, 7% Navigon, 15% TomTom and 15% Other, so you haven't voted for your GPS system yet, now's a good time to do it ;-) You can use the Q1 2009 Poll : "Are you..." ? topic of the "Polls" forums to leave a comment, particularly if you voted "other".
Updated August 5th, 2008 - The summer is already well under a way and it's generally a good time to diversify our GPS use. While car GPS use works throughout the year, these warmer days are a good opportunity to use our GPS systems to explore sideroads, for hikes and rides or all of the above...that would be me, what about you ? So here goes, "In the summer you use GPS mostly for...?" : "Way out, Way back - Exploring sideroads - hikes and rides - 1 and 3 - All 3"...
...Cast your vote and if you want to add a comment you can use this topic of the "Polls" section of the forums.
Updated May 25th, 2008 - Time for a new poll and with many posts in the forums claiming that "trying GPS is adopting it", it seemed like a good idea for a new poll to see if that holds true. So here goes, "You use your GPS..." : "Each day - For each trip - From time to time - For your job - On vacation ?". Cast your vote and if you want to add a comment you can use...... this topic of the "Polls" section of the forums.
Updated December 18th, 2006 - Christmas time is here again, so what will it be this year ? A GPS System ? If you already know for sure or want to give in to some wishful thinking, take our new poll : "Will you be buying a GPS system for Christmas ?" - Yes, an AIO (Garmin nuvi, Mio C310x, TomTom GO, etc...) - Yes, a PDA Kit - Yes, as a gift ! - No, already own an AIO - No, already own a PDA Kit and you can use this thread of the forums to vote or to discuss...
Updated July 31st - New Poll : "Summer 2006 - What's your main GPS setup" - you can use this thread for comments......
Updated January 18th - Our previous poll "What's Your Favorite Road Software" is now over and the results are in. Mapopolis came out the winner with 30%, just ahead of..."Other software" with 29% so feel free to tell us what you use if that's how you voted!
Next up is a "Long distance routing, nice to have or a must have?". You can vote on the side-bar or by going here. Links of interest: Post your longest route - Write a Comment
Updated 11/18 Now that we've established that 95% of use our GPS for road navigation, let's find out which software we rely on for that...
Due to the limited number of choices in the polling module, we'll start with PDA Sofware and will look at "all-in-one" solutions next time.
You can vote on the side-bar or directly by going here. Links of interest: "Road" software compared - Write a Comment
Updated 10/03 Time for a new poll! Now that we know that 17% of us use a "mouse GPS", 23% a "CF GPS", 40% a Bluetooth GPS, 8% an "eTrex style GPS" and 12% an "all-in-one" GPS, let's find out how we use it: Road use only, Off-Road only or both!
...
You can vote on the side-bar in the forums or directly by going here. Links of interest: "Road" software - All Terrain GPS and you can leave a comment here
Posted 06/08 With the new forum design it has been possible to bring back the polls that will now appear on the left side of the discussion or in their usual spot on the portal.
...For the June Poll, let's go with "What's your GPS?" - Now that GPS Assited Navigation is in full bloom, let's see what type of GPS we're using, whether the ubiquitous but sometimes hard to set up Bluetooth receivers are the kings or whether the convenient "mouse GPS" receivers that let you power your PDA on long trips put up a good show as well as the CF GPS receivers or standalone eTrex style receivers and of course "all in one" systems like the Garmin or Magellan Roadmate. Voting isn't always enough, so you can leave a comment in the forums !
Hopefully good fun for us but also helpful to people new to this, in addition to the existing choosing a GPS guide.
