Really nice find. I don't have a WVGA device, though. Is it possible to have a 480x272 version? I've tried to install your skin, and it gave me an error. This keyboard seem very tempting. Any chance to install it on my device? |

Hi all,
miopocket is realy a great work, and this a great forum! thx allot.
For all trying to run it on a MD97130 / E323X:
for GAPI for HPC's v4.04 I found that the settings for "Navman S35, CE5.0, 320x240" are applicable (and do not crash GAPI, like all other Medion settings do)

| Hi, I can't make clock be on time. After many resets with MP it goes back to original settings every time. Do you know a way to stop original settings and make permanent changes? Thanks in advance |

Your unit's date/time only will be updated, if 1. an ActiveSync connection gets established, or 2. GPS module gets initialized.
Hence try as following: if file "Gpsmc.exe" in folder "\Windows" exists and if in your device's registry in folder [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init] the two lines as following
"Launch100"="Gpsmc.exe" "Depend100"=hex: 1E,00
not already present there, add them to initialize at unit's boot-up the GPS module. |

| Jwoegerbauer, I lost my copy of my s90i flash image but I have a copy of the files that were on it that were visible in windows explorer, can these be used to construct the flash file image? You seem to know a lot about this stuff so I hope you don't mind me asking you. |

quote: Excerpt from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms892386.aspx
The file system and data store for Microsoft® Windows® CE is referred to as the object store. The object store consists of a file system, database, and system registry that share a single memory heap. It provides persistent storage for applications and their related data even when the main power supply is lost. The object store can be up to 256 MB of compressible, nonvolatile, RAM storage. It integrates the read-only files that are stored in ROM with the read/write files of both an application and a user.
1. Therefore it makes no sense to try to re-burn the (EEP)ROM - note this is an extra chip in your Navman, where CE's system files (except parts of CE's registry) are located. 2. If you (partially) erased contents of Navman's internal flash disk (aka \My Flash Disk), then simply restore missing folders/files from the backup you made by copying them back. |

| Internal flash drive in your case is named "\My Flash Disk". That's the root your backup goes to. Neither "\" nor "\Windows". Note that all folders listet in CE's explorer except "\My Flash Disk" and/or "\Storage Card" are either ROM or RAM located folders, which get re-created by CE (and filled up with CE's default files) each time unit boots up. |

Important Note: Some current devices already come with .NET CF 3.5.7338.00 pre-installed in ROM, for example MTK-units. MioPocket 4.0 Rel. 68 by default does not verify this, simply installs .NET CF 3.5.7283.00, what indeed means that MioPocket installs a downgrade.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework]
"3.5.7283.00"=dword:00000001 <-- added by MioPocket
"3.5.7338.00"=dword:00000001 <-- original entry
Additionally MioPocket replaces all further registry entries in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework] with version 3.5.7283.00 related values, especially the GAC-path is set to version 3.5.7283.00 related .GAC-files. That should not happen.
Therefore before installing MioPocket 4.0 Rel.68 you examine your device's registry whether a .NET CF 3.5.7338.00 already is present. If so, you a) in script \MioAutoRun\Scripts\RegistryImport.mscr put a hash sign (#) in front of the lines that concern .NET CF 3.5.7283.00 - i.e. lines 50 to 63, b) move file NetCompactFramework.reg from folder \MioAutoRun\Registry to folder \MioAutoRun\Registry\Exclude, and c) move file device.config from folder \MioAutoRun\Windows\Windows to folder \MioAutoRun\Windows\Windows\Exclude.

Severe error encountered in Relase 68 in script SUBROUTINES.MSCR
Sub FolderSize
Local()
folder = argv[1]
files = IsEmpty(argv[2]) ? "*.*" : argv[2]
subdirs = argv[3]
allocSize = argv[4]
size = 0
ForEach file in files(folder\files)
If(allocSize)
size = (FileSize(file) + allocSize - 1) / allocSize * allocSize
Else
size += FileSize(file)
EndIf
EndForEach
If(subdirs)
ForEach folder1 in directories(folder\"*")
CallFunction("FolderSize", size1, folder1, files, subdirs, allocSize)
size += size1
EndForEach
EndIf
Return(size)
EndSub
This line contains the error:
size = (FileSize(file) + allocSize - 1) / allocSize * allocSize
The line must be replaced by this one:
size += (FileSize(file) + allocSize - 1) / allocSize * allocSize
Only so you get the result expected. |

Hello, ihave a problem with .net version : when i trie to execute vncviewer.exe (.NET vnc viewer 1.0.1.17) i got the error 'To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET Compact Framework: v3.5.7283 Contact your application publisher ... ...) When i go to settings/.Net Configuration i see : .Net Compact Framework versions installed : 3.5.7283.0 (ROM) Windows version: OEM_TYPE
I'have a Navman S50 and i don't understand what's going wrong... Should i try to not install the CF (like explain 2 posts higher?) is there a compatible vncviewer.exe with this version ? Thanks |
