For people who have trouble in connecting the ipaq to a cell phone ( bluetooth pan) 1. edit shortcut.ini with your device specs 2. for those who have win mobile phone start internet sharing - select bluetooth pan ,select network - connect 3. go to network cards,select Bluetooth pan driver - enter ip 192.168.0.2 , subnet mask 255.255.255.0 _ ok 4. surf with opera on ipaq
Next is to connect the ipaq through bluetooth pan over wifi card of your phone ( internet sharing over wifi) change KLM\Comm\ConnectionSharing\PrivateInterface\BTPAN1 to TIACXWLN1 |

If you want to make iTaskMgr full screen, you can get the sources from http://www001.upp.so-net.ne.jp/ishi/wince/itaskmgr/index.html Open the file iTaskMgr.cpp and change the following 2 lines : - line 11 : #define MAIN_DLG_CX 800 - line 104 : , (rcWorkArea.bottom > 240) ? 480 : rcWorkArea.bottom
Recompile with makecab.bat and copy the .exe to the iPAQ. (needs the eMbedded Visual C++ download from Microsoft) |

I uploaded the app launcher. You can get it here : http://www.gpspassion.com/upload/ipaq310_applauncher.rar
So the idea is to put any program, script,... (anything that can be opened with a shortcut) on the SD card. Assume it's called myapp.exe and is located in /SDMMC/Program Files/myapp/myapp.exe - now create a submap 'MyApplication' in /ResidentFlash/IPAQ/OS/GAMES - create a shortcut in this submap to the original (SD card) myapp.exe (copy original exe, paste shortcut in GAMES/MyApplication submap with explorer or cecmd) and rename it to MyApplication.lnk - copy the little applauncher.exe in the GAMES/MyApplication submap and rename it to MyApplication.exe - optional : add a little MyApplication.bmp to the GAMES/MyApplication submap
Now you should be able to start the SD application from within the GAMES interface in OASIS.
Kudos to Lutz for the idea of opening a .lnk file and his help with the coding.
Additional note concerning booting in winCE : I have a 4 GB SD card (not SDHC !) and it boots in winCE (so it's probably a SDHC issue) |

Question for people who have a Mio, does it shut down automatically after power cut-off?
@Fezzik
Sorry man, I am unable to find anything to give me some idea on how to make 310 shut down automatically. Will try again in coming days.

jyqureshi,
The 310 has an idle setting to shutdown when not being used.
On the main menu click Setting, then click System. You can set the value "Turn off if idle after: " choose from 1, 5, 10 minutes, 1 or 2 hours or never.
This along with it's feature of powering on then you start your car (if power cord attached) works great.
