| It is based on WinCe 6.0. Most AIOs based on CE 6.0 will die after you install MioPocket. But probably you can get helped, if you inbetween did not change anything at SD-card and you can establish an ActiveSync connection betwenn your AIO and desktop PC: Carefully read MioPocket's Readme, where it is explained how to do. |

Selected it, it started installing, then it required a reboot of the device. The device rebooted - AND NOW all it does is showing the GPS Satelite picture with a loading bar (just like it always did, but it only showed that for 2 seconds), and it does nothing. I cannot do anything - PLEASE - I WILL PAY SOMEONE TO HELP ME - AS I SAID I AM IN TEARS!!!!! How do i revert back to the original state? Don't think it's true. Osprey did include some code-lines for hive-based devices, which is - to my understand - the biggest problem with WinCe6 based device. I've one, and MP installed on it flawless. |

Quite reverse: hive-based devices luckily allow to persistently unlock a GPS! Of course if it is prudently done. But MioPocket does not take care which device is to be unlocked, it does not know anything of all the today's CE6 units since at least 2 years in the market. MioPocket is mainly fixed on devices of Mitac brands, for which it originally was created for. MioPocket is not really CE6 aware. Note that even CE6 based Mios got bricked installing MioPocket. Read the relevant forums (gpspassion, austech, 4pna, ...) and I'm sure you will revise your oppinion. |

Do not want to scare you but it sounds like brick. If you did not buy the GPS long ago you should contact the seller and tell him there is a problem with software of the GPS (imagine the reason), there are files which they (if in connection to the producer of the GPS) can have and probably send you.
They are consisted of group of files needed to reflash your GPS. It is a matter of getting the files on SD card and putting it into GPS (taking that unit still recognizes the SD card).
Other option searching on net for reflashing files which is HARD/IMPOSSIBLE

Hello to everybody. I have a big problem.
I've just purchases a chinese gps: http://www.ebay.es/itm/7-Bluetooth-GPS-4GB-Newest-Map-Wireless-Reverse-Camera-/220800623446?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_GPSSystems_GPSSystems&hash=item3368be2356
but with WindowsCE 6.0
I installed MIOPOCKET with copying Media and MioAutoRun folders and MioAutoRun.exe, MioAutoRun.mscr and MortScript.exe in the SD card
I think the installation wasn't right because after that the bluetooth doesn't work. The GPS signal doesn't work, every time I try to turn on, it gives me the following message:
OPEN SERIALS PORT ERROR
Before the Miopocket installation, I was able to get into windowsCE tapping an icon in the desktop, now I'm not able to do that
I didn't do any backup of the system, I thought it wasn't necessary if I didn't make an installation in the flash
any suggestion?
P.S. I'd try to find in this topic, but there aren't any tools to search inside and there are 181 pages |

Operating System: Microsoft Windows CE 5.0
1. If you can access MioPocket, uninstall MioPocket. 2. Try to hard-reset device (means reset it to factory defaults). Note this will fail if unit's registry is hive-based.
BTW: It always makes sense to read all pages here, sincee mostly the answer already is given - multiple times the same issue posted here, as you did too. |

Thanks KGM for your answer, I tried what you said but without success.
I always use the search tool in all the forums I visit but here there isn't any search tool. It would be helpful. With all my respect but reading 181 pages is very hard and much more difficul to someone who doesn't have the english as a mother tongue |

The link I wrote is the right one, but the GPS I got has 6.0. I unistalled MP, I can make a connection by Activesynk (but I think it's too late because something in the Operating System has changed or has been erased and I didn't make any backup

Remember my words:
a) has nothing changed on the SD-card used, and b) can establish an ActiveSync-connection
then you simply restore your device's registry in section HKLM\init. The data you need were stored by MioPocket during installation on SD-card. This all is explained in MioPocket's ReadMe file!
But if you think it's too late ...

It's too late, kgm. It's too late because after I uninstalled miopocket, I formatted the SD card and copied the files that came with the GPS, so I don't have the backup. It's my fault.
Thank you very much kgm for your interest

| Hi, I just installed miopocket 4.0 R68 on my navigon 2100. Everything seems to work fine except I have no GPS reception signal now. I'm hoping that there's some configuration file I can update to specify the com port and baud rate, which I believe is 1/4800. I searched but couldn't find any info. The only thing close that I found was a gps.ini file in the TroNik directory. I updated that but it didn't have any effect. I'm hoping someone can help. Thank you. |

| Actually, I searched exhaustively and I couldn't find a solution that worked for my case - this problem may be related specifically to my navigon 2100. I see others have got it to work with miopocket 2.0, which I may try, but i thought I'd ask in case someone has been successful getting the gps signal to work with the miopocket 4.0 and navigon 2100 combo. |
