@barbudor,

I think Mark Mudlers wants the unit as anti theft for his boat. I guess that the boat doesn't move so quickly, so he would have enough with an overspeed alert that maybe will notify him if the unit is moving over let's say 50k/h, which would mean that someone is towing the boat on a road.

Ok. In that case, the MOVE alarm is easier. The SMS will be sent if the device move over 200m (some models can configure this value)

@Barbudor: thanks for your explanation, makes it very clear.
All I want is to get a SMS when my boat is moved, c.q. stolen. The boat is at rest on a trailer, parked ashore. So I don't need GPRS.
I tried Move Alert, Speed Alert and they don't work. Today I'm going to try Geofence.

When I set up the tracker I get SMS to confirm the settings. Also get a Low Battery message. But when I call the device I hear it's engaged. So there must be something wrong. I'm doing this for more than a week with the same results.
Also using the iPhone App: and Auto Track is the only thing that is working.

Bought the tracker in the Netherlands, and in the booklet is says it's from www.gpstrackerxy.com. Friends tell me it's a clone and therefore not working. In the meantime I was in contact with Xexun in China and they can send me a original one. Maybe not necessary though if I make mistakes with the settings.

Do you have an idea? Kind regards, Mark.

In addition to my post above:
When I call the tracker I hear it's engaged and I'm redirected to the Voicemail of the tracker.
Tried it over and over again, but no result.
By the way SOS isn't working either.

@Mark Mulders,

It is indeed a clone (that doesn't mean it should not be working, it should). If you bought in the Netherlands and are able to return it, I would do so and get a Xexun unit. For what you want to use it the move alert or the shake command on TK102-2 unit would be the easiest way to get the job done.

Today I turned off voicemail on my iPhone, send SMS to the tracker for Geofence, Speed Alert and Move Alert and it worked!!! Even all three of them at the same time. Got every 3 minutes a SMS for each of the alerts.

Still can't call the tracker. The answer is: "engaged we will connect you to voicemail or you can send a SMS".
Is it possible that I need to turn voicemail on the SIM-card in the tracker off as well?

Hi,

does anyone use acc wire, for start/stop function? With default firmware, it doesn't send that information, but has any of you has different firmware that maybe supports this?

Thank you,

Mark,

It is normal that the tracker appears as engaged. Unless you have enabled the "monitor" feature (if your model supports it), the tracker will never answer the call.
Beside this it is alsways recommended to disable voicemail on SIM used with trackers. To do so, you have to insert the SIM into a phone and follow telco instructions to disable all transfers (voice mail, etc ..). If you don't know how to do so, give the name of your telco so other NL users might help you.
I would advise using a "normal", basic GSM phone, not an iPhone as these gears are very special.

Note that the "monitor" feature (when supoprted) is exclusive with the "call for GPS SMS" feature.
In monitor mode, the tracker will take the call and allow you to listen to the surroundings using the embedded mic.
But it will not answer to call by a GPS SMS.

As far as I know :
t030s***n123456 is for a Xexun device
fix030s***n123456 is for a Coban device

If your manual refer to / unit reply to "fix" instead of "t" then it is a Coban and not a Xexun.

Which means that you should look under the section "Coban GPS102" instead of "Xexun TK102" in gps-server.net

I bought my clone TK102 from Cozyswan http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/560182092/GPS_Tracker_tk_102_Mini_Global.html

Everything works fine for day ore two, then it like crashes and shows sms location
000000000000
Time 00:01:01
Date 00/00/11

It doesn’t show proper sms location and I can’t track it from the web. It happens every single day. I send reboot123456 and then it works about 1 day and crashes again.

I would like to now is this happening with xexun and coban tk102 devises or is it just Cozyswan clone problem that it stops working every day.

xexun and coban devices don’t have standby mode were they will shot down gps signal for example when device is not moving for 5 days ore so?

Anybody have same problem with clone?

I don't have such issue with my Coban but I never used it for more than 6 to 8 hours continuously (GPRS mode).
The Coban have a standby mode as far as you don't enable GPRS or a move/geofence alarm. In that case it just leave the GSM section on and shutdown the GPS. GPS would be awaken only upon request (menas that it will take 30sec to 1 minute to answer to your call). This is the only way to save battry life.
But if you enable a move/geofence alarm, then the tracker must leave the GPS on which drains the battery within less than 10 hours.

AS far I have read this forum, Xexun TK102 does not have a standby mode. May be TK102-2 ?
