Hello, I have a TK102 but not read messages
answers calls with geo info but not the sms. settings of the phone are ok
know how to help me ..?
Please do not stop sending me messages sos
how can I stop this?

Can you please give more details :
- Which brand is your unit ? Xexun, Coban, other ? Sure ?
- What type of SMS message did you sent to the unit ?
- None of these messages sent you an answer ?
- But when you call the unit, you receive the proper SMS message ?
- Please write down exactly the message you are receiving, this can help us to identify the exact brand of tracker.

Yes, I did receive a positive reply to all my messages, including a reply of 'GPRS OK!', but the status returned just after I switch to GPRS still says 'GPRS: OFF' |

To check the SIM had a working data connection I installed it in a phone with a web browser, and I was able to browse the internet, so I'm happy the issue isn't with the SIM card.
It does seem odd that despite turning GPRS on and the tracker replying that it's on, it stills reports GPRS as being off. |

Hi, can someone tell me about the clones of the Xexun TK102? Why are they cheaper? Other quality? Other features? Support and warranty?
I need a cheap tracker with good battery that can report location via gprs to a server, that's all.

Welcome on GpaPassion forums
"Clones" are reported to have a erratic bahavior. Sometimes they do not follow the same GPRS protocol so you can't use other software than their own web site or software.
Price is also very relative. I am not sure that Xexun are much more expensive if you purchase directly from them.
On the other side, many European disributors import those or clones without necessarily be sure of their origin and apply a X00% margin.
However I own a Coban which I would qualify as a reputable second source for TK102.

The Andrew's code should work but it does not means that ot will work for you :
- It requires a webserver on which your PHP code can create processes and threads. This exclude almost all hosted servers or home-page services. It requires a server on which you have administration rights.
- It is very partial. It only shows the function that process the socket communication with the tracker and write the results to a SQL server. It does not create the socket itself.
- It is not a complete application neither. You still have to write your application which will get the date from the SQL server, display on a map, ...
Beside this, it can handle as many trackers as your SQL server can process.
Aren't you looking for a complete working solution ?
I have listed somes in my Index topic (see in my signature).
Many others are available, free or commercial.
