It's looking like v3.30 has corrected the FM traffic issues I was having (no traffic data on the Traffic Search screen closer than ~6 miles from current location) and the 2009.11 map drawing issues also seem to have been resolved. Hats off to Garmin for the update...it looks like I can now actually run a firmware higher than v2.50 without running into some sort of problem.
As far as the random shut-downs, I've only had a couple of them. Time will be the ultimate test. |

| Well, I just updated to 3.30 and started playing with my 755. Went to ecoRoute and when I clicked Calibrate device just crashed, e.g. screen went blank and only cold reboot revived it. After reboot Calibrate worked fine but when I wanted to ecoRoute Report it first popped the dialog saying I can view report in /Garmin/Reports folder but when I clicked OK on the dialog to some reason I was thrown into Favorites showing some random item. Go figure :) Looks like they messed up this anyway pointless ecoRoute. |

| As with any firmware update, it's always a good idea to clear all user data (have a backup first) after the update. While this shouldn't really be necessary and it's definitely not a fix-all, it can sometimes resolve some strange quirks that can pop up. |

| Agreed -- it's been that way for many years with Garmin F/W updates. It quite often does resolve the issues immediately experienced after a F/W update. |

Quite a fast update addressing the problems. People contacting them must have helped to move things along. It seems to have fixed the problems introduced previously for me. |

| Behold, what I want to ask. Do not you like, and the POI plaza, and not just think of it loaded POI speed cameras, and other measuring POI Icons Nuvi 7X5 shows greenish background and is very low, although it should be yellow, and more. Nuvi 7X0 them showed correct. Someone has apparently wrong with the soft, that is. |

| Vidas, if I understand your question, a picture (icon) that you add for a POI has to be at 256 colors. You must use a program to decrease the color depth to 256. (Also 24X24 size is best) |

Maybe so, but the same files uploaded using the POI Loader to the nuvi 7x0 and to the 7x5 in the picture is very different. The Nuvi 7x5 icons look really pretty low, green and small. It will be necessary with any graphics program and play with them, change the size and color. But actually they are both devices should depict the same. Tomorrow I try to update my nuvi to this new version of 3.30, you will be what I would say on this issue. Now go to sleep, because we already midnight. Bye! =)
P.S. Sorry, but my English is very bad. |

One of my changes were observed in this new firmware version, it is the top information bar at the top of the screen and shows the corner where the traffic lane and turned on, it became blue and no longer a pleasant green, as it was before. Clearly this is a matter of taste, but I was a beautiful green. Further changes can not yet seen. Clearly, only one that Garmin support still need to be harder to ensure that the Nuvi 7x5 series receivers worked unexceptionable and the menu seemed pretty.
I have noticed such a failure when my Nuvi to connect to the computer, it tries to start the data transfer, after the start of ready for navigation, and so is repeated several times.
SergZak, one question for you
You advice - "Download the v2.5 region file here: http://www.garmin.com/software/nuvi7x5_regionfileonly__250.gcd
Rename the downloaded file to GUPDATE.GCD and copy it to the x:/Garmin folder on the nuvi. Safely disconnect the nuvi from the PC and allow it to reboot. It will then notify you that you're going to be installing an older firmware version. Answer "yes" and it will proceed to backdate the firmware on the unit..."
And after all this or not, as was the Nuvi 7x0 series installing an older firmware version and after all this, was damaged Bluetooth function on the unit? Probably you remember how it happened was not one? Is the 7x5 in the following steps may not be the same? |

No traffic icon since updating to 3.1 & 3.3 ! Pwr/FM traffic reciever GTM 20 functions normal green indications and under tools/system info the "Navteq traffic" lifetime is loaded. Cannot receive any traffic info in the "Toronto" area? |

| Navteq Traffic is also not working on my 765T. I also do not have the traffic icon. I'm running the latest maps and 3.3. Toronto area. |

I posted something similar in another topic, so I hope that no one will mind if I also post here, but this seems to be more than a coincidence, since I also live in the Toronto area. I have a model 265WT, and sometime earlier this week, the green traffic icon on the map screen no longer appeared, even though the traffic setting says that I have lifetime Navteq Traffic. I spoke to Garmin technical support at length, and the person tried everything he could think of, and finally concluded that it must be a hardware problem. That seemed to be a reasonable conclusion until I saw the last two messages. Now I'm wondering if there may be another cause, e.g. something that either Garmin and/or Navteq did? |

| Looks like something local. Have you tried it in outside of Toronto? It seems to work fine for me (in SW PA) or at least I get the green icon... |
