I was very interested in your comment that one device included a GPS and external serial port. I couldn't find additional information on that though there was mention of two SD slots. Could you explain further?
Thanks. |

HTC Touch Dual and LG KS20 are not having GPS, right?
Do you make a review of these devices, or are you just making these photos? |

| So far these devices haven't been released, so may I suggest that you enjoy these first public photos that I took the time to share with you? Oh, and I'm not even asking you to say thanks. |

WoW...!!! That is a nice size for a screen in one's palm. I loath all those smallish gadgets that are going crazy with screens that make my eyes squint ever more!!! I sure would like to see these new intro's have long autonomy with battery power for back up. Thanks for displaying these privilege pics this early ... great to be on this Forum!!! |

gpspassion: sorry, didn't mean to be rude. There's just been a lot of discussion about whether there is GPS and/or WiFi in both KS20 and Touch Dual. And since you're expert on GPS, I thought it was a good question to ask?
Oh, thanks for the pictures ;) I'm looking to buy either KS20 og Touch Dual, but the KS20 seems to be delayed until next year (here in Denmark at least), so I'm really curious about WiFi and GPS in Touch Dual. |

ok ;-)
Well we'll see when they come out for GPS, the Touch Dual has the potential since it uses a Qualcomm MSM7200 chip with built-in GPS, the problem is fitting in an antennt that will give good enough performance, they gave up on the S730 and it seems the same has happened on the Touch Dual. |

I guess we'll know for sure then, yes :)
The KS20 also has the Qualcomm MSM7200 chipset, but from what I've heard they couldn't get the GPS to work properly so it's disabled. Probably also because of difficulties fitting a good antenna inside.
I'm still puzzled why there's no WiFi in the Touch Dual, though. I don't think there's any technical explanation, since I think the Bluetooth antenna can be used as an WiFi antenna. I'm still crossing my fingers that it can be enabled via some software tweak. The KS20 also should have WiFi (except in the Vodafone-branded version, I guess).
Do you have any ideas when these will be out? Touch Dual is scheduled for second half of November on Expansys. |
