Just put 3.4 on my Nuvi 250w. Now do i have to have sats acquired for this log thing to show up? Trying it in sim mode and i don't get the screen that you showing.

| I tried everything and i don't get the screen that is shown at the beginning of this thread. Is there something i am missing? When i hold the speed icon down for 10secs i get into a screen that shows me error logs, and a bunch of other windows which look like info windows for the device. |

you don't need an SD card, the logs are stored in the internal memory.
btw, are you sure you downgraded you unit? sometimes it's difficult |

| I just bought a nuvi 200 because of this thread, as I wanted a cheap gps with a tracklog. I can't get the 3.4fw to load on my nuvi. Anyone know whats up or have any next steps? Thanks in advance and thanks to the OP for figuring this out! |

| hunterman, are you able to tell me what steps you did to get this to work if i email you? 3.4 loaded fine on mine but i can never get the tracklog to come up. Now my unit came with 3.10 from the store so does that mean that it was already removed from the device or should this work for me? If it doesn't then i suspect mech_e will have the same issue since he just bought his too. |

Hidden tracklog exist in nuvi 2xx without "W". You can't enable this feature in 250W unless neadrenalin will tell us how.

Many thanks popej - now even the "DOS Command Line challeged people" (All those who arrived after Windows 3.1 raise your hands ;-) :) ) will be able to do their Track Logs painlessly!
Without you back in October last year when this all started we would have been "lost"!
