Hello all!

I was a stupid while during an SD card install I removed the SD card...
So the unit died. I tried to use the original CD but with no success.
I also tried the update for the Lucca without MP3 and after the "OS updating" screen it went to the "Travelpilot" screen and I cannot get it working.

I don't want any radar map, or any other add on, I just want to make it work again. On Blaupunkt homapage there is no update for this model.

I would really appreciate any suggestions.

I am in Canada and I do have the original CD.

Thanks

Still nobody with any help?
I cannot get over the first Blaupunkt Travelpilot screen. Looks like the Win is damaged. Any tips on restoring it?

Thanks

Hi Blau,

I had a similar problem with mine. I made an upgrade and the damn thing start working very slowly. For you to recover it you must have a SD card and a way to connect it to your PC. Then from the CD-ROM go to the “Recovery” dir and copy the inside contents to the root dir of the SD card. Then go to the “Maps” dir and copy the Map you want to the following path in the SD CARD \\source\Lucca\Maps (In the case that the directory “Maps” doesn’t exist you have to create it).

Now disconnect the GPS by pressing the On/Off Button for 5 seconds. Insert the SD card in the TravelPilot and the press and maintain pressed the On/Off button and the Menu button until it starts with a DOS format Menu a starts copying the image to the GPS. Wait until it finishes. Then the machine will reboot and starts again. Keep the SD Card inside. When it starts it will ask if you want to update. Go ahead and do it. After it finishes disconnect the GPS by pressing the On/Off Button for 5 seconds. Eject the SD card a start the GPS by pressing On/Off Button for 5 seconds.

Note: You must do this with the GPS connected to the power supply!

Let’s hope that it works for you as it worked for me.

Sorry for my English as I’m Portuguese and doesn’t speak the language every day.

Best Regards,

Tesuras.

Tesuras!

Thanks for your advices!
But there is no Recovery folder on my original CD.
All the folders and files are "not valid Win 32 applications", they only run from the card on the damn GPS device

I can get it to the "OS updating" menu but only if I am loading the .bin files on the SD-card but I only have bin files for the non MP3 model

Apearently this only works for the ones with no MP3...

Any other advice would be apreciated

Thanks again
