Hello Therock !
I'm a french, I want to download Our Skin, the ctype and the install Guide. In the File Swap : Share, I Have a problem -> Direct Linking is not allowed!
Why ? Can't me help ? Tank ! |

Hey Rock,
Nice work, I appreciate your time. A while back you mentioned the blue dot(actual Loc.) I had this on my 310x(prior to it being stolen)and really liked it. How do you activate this feature in your skin.

I had one but lost it doing some mods. I'm still looking to see what I did. It is a "Hide" or "Show" line somewhere, more than just a Sys. file entry.
Sometimes I get lazy about taking notes. I'm paying for it on this one. |

Skin Miomap 3.3 Riks v2.8 480x272
Requirements: Mio C520 device, Miomap 3.3
rename file into data.zip and overwrite to flash\miomap\miomap
riks2.8 480x272 - for all miomap3.3 version
i tested the skin with Mio C520 device and MioMap 3.3 with 480x272 resolution.
additional and optional files
Riks schemes - unzip & copy two files in flash\miomap\miomap\scheme
link to different languages spoken warning:(add just the one you need to SKIN directory):
- UK English, Female
- German, Female
- US English, Female
- Hungarian, Male
- Hungarian, Female
- Polish, Male
- Polish, Female
- French, Female
- hebrew, Male
- Czech, Female
- Czech, Male
- Spanish, Female
- Romanian female
Note:
1. you must don't have any file in SKIN directory except about 1 file with audio pack with spoken warning.
2. back-up data.zip and igo.db original files, just in case you don't like the skin.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Before use the skin you must delete the igo.db file, otherwise it's possible to malfunction or appear some error.
the program will re-create the igo.db but you must set again all the parameters |
When everything else fails, read the faq' instructions!

I am newbie as well, have a c520 with Western Europe maps pre-installed on it. I downloaded ... deleted by Moderator, violation of Forum rules
Even a cursory glance at the Forum rules or the Index/FAQ would have immediately revealed the answer to your question, constantly asked by newbies who either haven't read the rules - required when you signed up - or have read and choose to ignore them. .
MAPS ARE LOCKED BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A VALID LICENSE TO RUN THEM
Read the rules - and like in American Baseball, it's "strike one". |

Boy did I pick the right day to come to this page. Your skin was my favorite on my previous Mio C310x, and I have been waiting for a similar skin for my C520. I will try it out tonight.

I am running phi38's v2 skin currently and started using Riks Day and Riks Night color schemes about two weeks ago and they are great because the POI icons are so cool. A loaf of cut bread for restaurants - things like that.
Therock, I'm guessing that if you load Riks Day and Night schemes onto your skin, you will get his icons & colors on your skin, perhaps giving the best of both worlds. You can go to http://mio.digiwalker.googlepages.com/pna_schemes-voices-languages , and download schemes.zip, which when unzipped contains a number of scheme zip files, including Riks, plus a lot of other fun ones.
For those who haven't done this before, just take the chosen theme zips and drag them into the MioMap/MioMap/Schemes folder. Do not unzip them. They will then show up in map options for you to select. |

I added the SKINS folder and dropped the zip file in there. It booted and is running fine. I was thinking by adding this I would get some type of verbal warning when I got over my fixed speed warning. I had that set at 70 mph for now and pushed it up to about 76 on the way to work today and got no warning. Not sure if I missed something here or not. Maybe I did not create that SKIN folder in the proper locaton. I also noticed that when I was not routing, the speedometer on the information panel said I was going 30 mph...maybe that meant 30 kph but it did say mph. |
