Hi Mario

Can you make a precision (i mean tenth of second) time synchronization for your program?
btw Is it possible to take time from the device if it just has lost satellites?

excuse me english

a) I suppose that you want to synchranize your phone/PDA/PC to the GPS time? You can add it as a feature request on sourceforge. I have been thinking about it.
b) I noticed that the device time is correct when it lost satellites (but has had a fix before). The device needs this itself to use the almanac information.

I just completed the work to get all language implementations in just one distribution.
The resulting binaries are somewhat bigger, but this results in just one build for the PDA and J2SE version for me, and, only one package to upload and classify.

The first version thereof is BT747_1.62_full.zip in the debug_releases on sourceforge. Italian is in the list of languages but not available yet (it is in the process of being translated).

Mario, after updating BT-J2ME to V0_2_34, "joystick down" is still causing very often jumping back to the main screen (with 'Took a picture', etc). But due to adding "action upon keyrepeat", it's now much easier to use multiple times "joystick up" to avoid the use of "joystick down". Thanks.

BT747 on the PDA is updated to V1.62, using the easy way with BT747_Install.bat. But should there be a language selection during installation or how to select/change the language afterwards?
Note. Because the language is still English, I don't need that (I keep English for easier communication). But for curiosity reasons, I'm interested to know how to select a language.

[Edit] I found the way to select/change the language by (accidentally) tapping the title bar.

Click at the top of the screen, then you should see 'Lang' to the right.
Click there and select a language.
The new language is effective after a new startup of the app.

Using "2Hz fix" or "5Hz fix + log" on the Easy screen of BT747 on the PDA, doesn't change the "Update Rate (Hz)" at the Othr screen (with Q1000P in NAV or in LOG mode). Changing the value in that field from 1 to 2 can be done, but after re-entering that Othr screen the value changes after a few seconds back to 1. Because "TimesLeft" is a (dimmed) zero, this is understandable after looking at page 15 of your manual. And after looking at page 14, I see at the Ctrl screen that both Easy buttons do work.

However, after using "5Hz fix + log" I see that not only the "Fix (ms)" has changed (to 200), but also that the "Time" has been set to 0.2 and that's certainly not what I want. Is this a mistake or did you do that on purpose?

Note. After reading the info in your manual, I did expect that I had to set the Fix value again after switching off (and on) the GPS device. But fortunately, the Q1000P saves this value (till a reset or an empty battery, I think). But if presets for the log conditions are implemented, I don't have to remember which conditions need a higher fix update rate.

a) The buttons on the Easy tab does not change the permanent initialisation value (Flash, other), but the dynamic value. When you set 2Hz, you'll see 500 ms in the Ctrl.
b) This is on purpose, which is why it is called '5Hz fix + log'. The fix is set to 5Hz, as well as the log.
c) I'll need to keep this in mind when I do another pass on the manual then.

For me (and other users?), the indication of the BT transfer speed during downloading is rather useful and (afaik) it's not in the BT747 version.
Something to add?

That is true - it is only in the Mobile Phone version.
In the PDA version, the log screen is already quite filled. So where to add it? On the file tab?

Mario, as you probably know, a 'Cold start' resets that Fix value to 1000.

I think that "value B/s" will fit right aligned at the "Mem Used" line.

No I did not, so I should set the fix period after a cold start?!

On your screen probably, but not on the Log tab that you can see in here:

As of BT747_1.62.1_full.zip and BT_J2ME_0_2_37.zip, some information like the memory usage is regurarly requested from the device (and therefore updated in the GUI).

On that screen it could probably fit at the last line. But on my screen (PDA version) the number is followed by the number of free records, that's why I suggested the other line. The %) on that line ends at my screen about halfway the screen width. Is it perhaps possible to add an extra line?
Note. After Used you can skip 2 spaces, but I don't know if that gives enough room (when Mem Used needs 7 digits).
