There were a dozen Roadmate 700's on display at CeBIT. Here are some notes:
1. No 500 in Europe
2. Data uses 4.5Gb on the HD of the 700
3. There will be a TMC module for traffic information in the fall
4. No final release date
5. Price is...1600 euros, x2 the US price!
6. Price of the TMC module: 200 euros

So those feet must be tappen the floor in anticipation, hug?

I wonder if you can just buy the unit here and save some money and just get the disks out there.

Twice the price seems alittle much.

Yes although with TomTom coming out with the GO for 799 euros they might have to change their plans.

Haven't heard of "cross-map" buying yet, but Navman will be launching this soon with a "penalty" on Europ maps to discourage "grey" units, too bad it will also penalize genuine US purchasers...
