@gpspassion
I just open the gpx file, and use the selection tool on the left column to select the bad data points and delete them. Use the zoom tool to zoom in on an area. Push delete to delete the entries selected.
triptracker.net looks great. Only feature missing for me is a public unlisted option. |

Like Picasa ? Yes that would be nice, they read the forums, so you can put a message in "their" thread here.
Thanks for the GTM tip, works pretty well alhtough I can't find a way to move the map with the mouse, only the keyboard arrows seem to work. It seems you can overlay Google Maps too with the "Transfer" version, although that requires GTM Pro. |

I've suggested the public unlisted option but they seem to prefer a unique URL like google maps. I'd prefer public unlisted as then I can just send my friends the link to my profile and they can see my trips. I'd also prefer easier access to the Gallery View, instead of having to click on the map view, then click on a journal pinpoint. I think clicking on map view should bring you straight to the gallery view.
I found something with GPSTM that seems to fail with triptracker.net. GPSTM inserts some special characters which triptracker will not import. Manually editing the file and removing the characters works though.
This is what GPSTM puts in the metadata: xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1#xA;http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd"> |

Thanks for the links, I'm not sure there's a lot of value in tagging on the fly with these contraptions compared to post-processing with a datalogger log ?
Some interesting Locr developments : 1. PDA version of their site : http://www.locr.com/pda/ 2. Windows Mobile application suite, that will be a natural for GPS PDAPhones with a camera, the find pictures near me is quite handy:

| why are there no cameras with bluetooth that could talk to a bluetooth gps puck and geotag photos in real time? physical connections are for the birds. i know i'm preaching to the choir... |

I just found this site this morning. WWW.GPSed.com
It looks promising.
As soon as I get my AGL3080 from Semsons I intended to check it against my 2610 and then try this site.
In the interim, if anyone is familiar with it or has some tracks and photos to check it out with, please post.
