| Whenever I upload the Beerstore file into my Nuvi, it will only list 1 Beer Store location although when I check the actual file, it has well over 400 entries. Does anyone else have this issue? Maybe I'm drunk... |

I used MS Excel on OS X and have heard from others that my .csv file's end-of-line or linefeed causes problems. Try opening the .csv or .xls using Excel in Windows, then re-save under a different name. Let me know if that fixes anything...

| I loaded the 2900+ point tim hortons directory on my nuvi - it would only show 40-50 closest locations. If I moved my location it would show me 40-50 other closest locations. It wasn't going to let me browse the entire 2900+ list |

The file itself worked great for me. Loaded right up into my Quest, but then I found that there were many incorrect entries. Several entries had identical co-ordinates so POI's were on top of each other. Anyone else find this? |

Hi everyone. First of all, thank you for all that you do!
Now on to my problem: I've tried re-saving the .csv file but it still does not work. I cannot get this to work on my Jensen Touch-n-go (iGo/Mio clone). Has anyone else gotten this to work yet? |

Hey petercockroach...
I'm new here and still trying to figure out this POI stuff on my Garmin 660, but I did get this file to work by (1) opening the .csv in MS Excel (2) resaving it as a .xls file then (3) opening the .xls file in Excel and re-saving with a different file name as a .csv file. This seems to work just fine
PS: If you rename the file, remember to rename the .gif file too.
Enjoy...The Beers! |

I basically did the same thing. Apparently it was written on a Mac using Excel. I just opened it with Excel on my PC and just did a save again. Seemed to work fine for me. |
