I can only pray that this is true.
I am in a suburban Toronto subdivision (Brampton, ON, for those interested) that is not covered by the TomTom ONE's maps. I purchased my ONE last week, and my subdivision is almost 3 years old now! Simply unacceptable. I'm debating whether or not to return it for a Nuvi... |

The grass is always greener on the other side. As a former Nuvi ower I hate to break it to you but it had its fair share of missing/incorrect streets just like every other navigation device on the market today. The device you use the most of course will appear to have the most errors and checking to see if one provider has it right and the other doesn't isn't a really fair indicator of overall accuracy. Unless you actually use the other map providers maps day in and day out you won't know just how many errors they have that your current map does not. If you do return it don't be surprised to be back here complaining about the Nuvi errors as well.
One thing that you should do no matter what your choice is to see if the issue has been fixed and if not to report it. Just go to http://mapinsight.teleatlas.com and do us all a favor. Cheers |

| From what I understand, dmc's area isn't in TomTom's maps at all. |

I too tried to find the TomTom map update for my TT 910. However after searching the entire TT site, I found nothing. I plan to call them on Monday to find out what is happening. However, there is a possibility they are shutdown until January because of the holidays. |

I got this today from TomTom support:
Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for contacting TomTom Customer Support regarding your question on your map issues. We are sorry your are experiencing problems. Fortunately TomTom will be releasing a map update before the end-of-the-year. This update will significantly expand the address and POI databases and incorporate realized map corrections. We strongly recommend you sign up for an account at TomTom.com (if you have not already done so.) In your account profile be sure to sign up for our newsletter, which will provide you with an automatic e-mail notification of the map release date and how to receive your copy. The release will be distributed by CD and is free to all 910 owners except for a $6.00 handling and shipping charge.

| Well I'm kind of upset. My home address isn't in my TT910's maps. I called TomTom today and they said the update would be released within the week. |

I typed in the serial number of my GO910 and I seem to be entitled to a $0 Upgrade DVD ?! Anyone else ? This is odd considering the 910 wasn't even offered an upgrade in Europe due to the TTS codes not being present. |

| I too received a $0 upgrade :) only $6 for shipping, disk should arrive within 3 to 4 weeks. Is there anywhere on the net where you can view teleatlas's maps to see if the upgrade is indeed worth upgrading? |
