Thank You Noni to take the efford to answer.
I will try your software, although i think export to GoogleEarth will be far too inacurate. Sometimes I need only the surface of a few Hectares, and the error may not be more than 3 procent.
Pity 1000's of Famers could well use such a device.
Would you consider an area calculation feature in the future?
Thanks in advance.

Where are good sources for bitmap maps that can be easily calibrated? It seems as if there are a lot of good aerial photos on the web but what is the workflow people are using to create the accompanying file and what is its format?

Is there a good web page somewhere on this?

I've been sick for a long time and have not really been hiking in the last three years but I really want to force myself to get back outside and I think something like this would be a good motivator for me.

It is a wonderful software. Just installed on my MIO C310x this morning and had geocaching trip. Thanks Noni and other contributor.

I just got to know this "Static Navigation" a few mintues ago. It explains my wonder these days about why C310x doesn't update my coordiate.

Can anyone tell me how to turn it off? I am new to this C310x and any help will be appriciated.

Noni, I noticed on mine when I am loading the maps from GoogleMV and I import the map file, it automatically enters the coords and the map size. Some others are having a problem with this, they only get a box telling them what the coords and size is, but it doesn't get auto-entered. Is this a perk for paying or should it do this for everyone?

Thanks for the wonderful program by the way.

@arkadiabe:
At present, a function to get the area of a track is not planned. Even if it’s not excluded.
But, maybe a tool as gpsmeter (http://www.gpsmeter.com/) is more what you need?

@christ0ph: Did you try GoogeMapView?

Junius, which aygshell.dll are you using that works?

thanks!

Ah Noni, you are a good man. Thank you so much for your personalized help here. One last (maybe!) question. Is there a file I can back up that will keep all my settings so if I have to do a hard reset I can get them back quickly? Thanks.

I'm using number 2 from aygshells.zip at http://izemize.fw.hu/hpc.php
It is 9728 bytes (MD5 is 57281cc17d7ca105e59e03bd2e4b2152)

Depending on which system you used to unlock your gps, you might already have it as aygshell.dll.v2 in your windows folder, so you can just change the names.

I tried others from aygshells.zip. Some worked in NoniGPS but had issues with other programs that I was using. So far I haven't noticed any issues with this one.

@ Captain IIII:
File 'NoniGPSPlot.ini' in the folder where NoniGPSPlot is installed (usually \Program Files\NoniGPSPlot) to backup yours points and config.

Noni, thanks. I will back that file up immediately.

Once more question when you get a moment. For importing points into the program, what values will Noni pull from the csv file? Is there a special format it should be in as far as which order the values are read in? I am trying to import a file that has groupname, pointname, coordN, coordW. Should the coords be in decimal degrees or in deg, min, sec? Also, can I specify settings like color and whether or not it is active in the csv? Thanks so much for your help, I love your program.

@Captain IIII

Here ‘my’ CSV format :
Word 1, ignored, longitude, latitude , Word 2, Word 3

If the Word 2 or Word 3 is set, the point name is ‘Word 2, Word 3’
Else name is Word 1
The group of the point is the file name.
Lat and lon are is in decimal format.

The points are created as Displayed in blue.
