I've just made a KOA POI file for Ontario and when I loaded it into Mapsource, almost every campground was shown in the wrong location - usually a nearby town centre. I think the problem is the campsites are in rural locations usually, and many have inadequate addresses - e.g. RR# 1, PO Box 222, Hwy 17 N, etc. I'm guessing the geocoding was done using the Postal Code. I had to manually move the waypoints in Mapsource by referring to the KOA webpage and look up each campground separately to check the map location.
Just wondering if the same situation would arise with US KOA's. Did you verify the locations after you geocoded them?
Thanks Bob Burlington, ON |

| I actually used MapSource to create the file so the location should be fairly close for the most part. |

gpsdude3,
are you going to add more states and/or keep this up to date? Very valuable. |
