Dewi, I have reviewed all the local Tim's and come up with a list of modified points plus 3 additional locations. Shoot me an email so that I can send you the Excel file (I don't want to post it here.) Thanks. |

Email sent.
BTW, I have about another 15-20 hours of work before the major update (i.e. Rick's file) is ready. There are ~400 new ones plus changes (phone numbers/moves/etc.). |

Hello Marvin I have a quick question for you and hopefully you can help me out. I just purchased a Magellan 4250 and was trying to follow your guide to load custom POI. I am trying the Tim Hortons one and think I have it, for the most part anyway. What I am having a problem with is the icon. I downloaded the icon but I don't know where to put it to get it to show up in Magellan POI editor. Any idea where? Sorry for the bothering of your time. If I run into another problem may I send you another question? Thanks Brian Caron aka Navier |

I have created a small program to convert the CSV file into GPX
The side effect is the [DIAL] button now works if your GPS has bluetooth
It is here: http://www.foxhollow.ca/gps |

Dewi, and those who assisted you with this undertaking: excellent work; thank you.
Out of curiosity, how many locations are included?
Also, perhaps someone (don't know who does this sort of thing) can update the information in the first/title page of this thread with the relevant details (release date; number of entries, download file). |
Kind regards Frank B. (Nuvi 750 & 1490LMT) Ontario CANADA |

The xls now contains 3,278 locations in comparisons to 2,892 locations in the previous version! Great work, Dewi. You now deserve a free life-time pass to Tom Hortons :)!
First page is now up-to-date :). |

| Canada & the US. Many of the new ones are in the States since they're the biggest part of Tim Hortons' expansion plans. |

The way I convert it to a TomTom format is to create a csv and run it through poiedit at www.poiedit.com.
To create the csv, load up the tim hortons xls and in cells L,M and N I linkup the information I want in the TomTom poi. In L1 =J1 M1 =I1 N1 =Concatenate(H1," -",C1,",",D1)
Copy these cells down to from 2 down to row 3278. Save this new spreadsheet as a csv, then reload this csv. Now delete the columns A to K, and save again as a csv. Load this new csv into poiedit. In poiedit, save as a OV2 into your map directory on your TomTom.
This will give you a poi that looks like 'Tim Hortons -65 Ottawa St N, Hamilton'

| Thanks, but it sounds complicated. It'll be nice if someone could post the most current Tim Hortons POI in Canada converted to Tomtom format already. |

Hi Jean,
Thank you. Do you have Tim Hortons POI for the USA in ov2 as well? |
