Thanks a lot for everyone taking the time to help newcomers... i got a question, perhaps someone can help me.
I have a Mio spirit 500 with TMC and CE 5, i have portsplitter running on the device. The Spirit has a TMC port that is running on COM1 with 14400 bouts, could i use portsplitter to make a virtual port so that, for example IGO could use the TMC with a different bautrate then 14400 (IGO does not like 14400, it will not nativly detect my TMC) |

Yes, you can use any baude rate for the output ports.

Thanks for replying, but the baudrate is for input only right?, i do not see output bautrate selection, or am i missing something.
EDIT Also, is there a way to find out if portsplitter is working correctly?, after i press start button (button changes to stop) but my GPS software is unable to find the virtual devides. |

Yes, it's required for input only. For output can be any you want choose in your client program.

Hello Jal,
Port splitter is great, but i have a problem. Im trying to run igo8 (8.3.4) on WinCE 4.2 PNA (its generic chinese product). And I was able to do so only by using ur software. But unfortunately the problem is in this: my GPS works on COM7, and when i split the ports to 5, 6 and 9 (all available) igo only wants to work on COM9 (beats me why, but thats only port on which he is able to locate satellite), which is great. But Port splitter doesnt want to remember COM9 in his settings, when i exit port splitter or soft reset the device. It remembers all other combinations (Eg. COM5+6, COM0+2+6, whatever), but COM9 never.
Port splitter is v 1.45, so i was thinking, could i ask u for an older version, maybe newer versions have issues with CE 4.2. Maybe some which doesnt use registry to write settings?
Any suggestions?
Tnx, Petar |

SO it was a bug, huh? Who would know. Tnx for fast response!
Which version should i download that would work on WinCE 4.2. Ive downloaded CE5_ARM.CAB, had to extract it (CE on PNA is heavily severed with functions), and now when i try to run it from explorer.exe it says cannot find port splitter or components... registry settings are good as i see them Which components are necessary besides: extvsplit.dll AYGSHELL.DLL COREDLL.DLL and COMMCTRL.DLL?
SOLVED: Used the PocketPC version, works like a charm. Jaluna, u saved my day! |

Hello Jal,
Is it possible to define the input port as a virtual TCP/IP or ActiveSync port and output port mapped to a free COM port? I would like to use the PC as a NMEA generator for testing applications on the Mio M400(no BT or WiFi, USB only).
thx, Sasa |

Hello Jal,
I've read all the post and i still have a question. Using ver 1.31 how can I have saved my port configuration, baud etc, in order Port Splitter to automatically read them. Registry entries do not work for me. I can not even find any setting.dat.
Any solution please.
Thxs for the great job you did. |

Hello,
check the "auto start checkbox", press Start with a valid configuration, press Stop and then Exit.
