Excuse me for a dumb question.

Couldn't GPSGate be used to redirect GPS output to Bluetooth out?

paludour, thank you for this wonderful application!

It is working great on my FSC Loox N560 with internal SiRF III.
There is one problem however that could be solved easily and I would like to ask you if you are able to do this:

GPS2Blue only suports 4800/38400/57600 bps and the default baudrate of the interanal GPS of the N560 is 9600 bps. I did change the baudrate to 57600 with Winfast navigator and then it works great but here is my problem:

The N560 has the bad habit of resetting all GPS-changes at every soft-rest!
After every reset I have to change the baudrate again to make it work. It would be much easier if GPS2Blue accepts 9600 bps or even better maybe the full range of baudrates?

Thanks!
Marc

That was fast ! First message updated. Any luck looking at WM5.0 GPS Server compatibility ?
Just received a N560 test unit but hadn't had a chance to install the framework yet ;-)

Hello,

I've just added some stuffs.

Here is V. 0.6:
* Compatibility with GID (WM5 server) (I hope...).
* Possibility to log the raw data redirected to bluetooth.

I hope you'll like it.

Hello,

Thanks for your feedback Guy...

So, here is a list of PDAs on which GPS2Blue seems to work:
Mio A201, Mio A701, Asus A636, FSC Loox N560, Qtek G100 and surely more...

Here is V. 0.8 (no public release of V. 0.7) :
* Much better GID compatibility (runs well together with Tomtom, can record car trips...).
* Display of the number of processed bytes.
* Possibility to log without Bluetooth (ie: can turn off redirection).
* Possibility to discard all but GGA, GLL, RMC et VTG sentences in NMEA logging (smaller log files).

Download

Note: if you like GPS2Blue and want to support it, you can make a donation :-)...

I'm sorry I must be the dumb guy in the forum.

But I follow the instructions and when pairing the laptop with the A701 I only got profile to ActiveSync and DialUp... I don't get a profile for serial interface from the A701.

Any idea?

Pairing the same laptop against my old Fortuna GPSSmart BT I got the serial interface without a problem. The idea of using GPS2Blue was just to forget about the GPSSmart BT... Quite bizarre hum??

Odd, make sure the serial profile didn't get deactivated on your laptop, happens regularly on my IBM X31 :-(
