| ok, now i'm completely confused-- i went to install the original POI that i wanted to install (along with friendlys) Sam's Club- but now when i open up CUSTOM POI it only lists the sams- no friendlys anywhere. even when i search NEAR in an area with friendly nothing shows for friendlys. before i loaded the sams POI the friendlys were all listed. |

I copied this from a post I sent to another NUVI user ... it applies here for you as well, I think, but if you need more explanation, please post again.
1. POI Loader will create Custom POI's from any and all .CSV files that happen to be in the specified folder. Each separate .CSV file will be shown as a different category when you look at Nuvi My Locations/Custom POIs. When adding POI's you can either add to an existing .CSV file or create a new .CSV file. ALL .CSV FILES MUST BE IN THE SAME FOLDER, which is the one you specify when using POI Loader. Keep all the .CSV files even after you load them into Nuvi because ...
2. Each time you use POI Loader, it creates Custom POI's from each .CSV file in the directory, as stated above, AND OVERWRITES THE EXISTING CUSTOM POI FILE previously created! Therefore, each time you use POI Loader, the specified folder must contain all previous .CSV and all new .CSV that you want in Nuvi.
3. I have also found that Nuvi shows only 50 POI's in a single category, so I have had to break groups of POI's into separate .CSV files when there were more than 50 of them.

Poi-deleting problem.. I've got a Garmin GPSMap 60CSX, with pocketgpsworld's speedcamera database. Somehow, when I didnt know what I was doing, I've put on some POI's using MapSource. Since then Ive got PoiLoader and read all about creating Poi's etc etc. I've got all my Poi's in various folders. I tried deleting the old cameras and then installing all my new Pois (including speedcams). Aside from the wierdness that my new Poi's dont show up (with find) unless you look for the databases, Ive still got the earlier speedcameras showing on my maps _all the time_..
1. So, how do I get rid of these earlier ones? Thousands of speed cameras constantly displayed is a real mess. (Declutter doesnt hide them.) 2. Also, how can I choose to display my other Poi's (with their fabulously crafted bmp's), instead of having to individually 'find' them. Sorry about the long post. Thanks for any help. |

Even though the Nuvi shows only 50, if you do a search, all of the entries will be there. nickjr |

Here is the link for POI Loader 2.4.0 beta... http://www.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=1673
Hope this helps!
I've got the latest beta version loaded. Can you point me to this option. I sure can't see any place where this is even mentioned. I also notice that HELP doesn't work. Something I did or is it just not fixed yet?? |

Others seem to have the same problem - try using Beta V2.4.0.0 instead of the newer 2.4.0.1
If you don't have it, e-mail me (bob AT morphew DOT ca) and I'll send it to you (8.9MB).

Hi Bob would you mind sending me the old V2.4.0.0 beta also? I'm trying to delete the POI menu off my C320 for like over a year and have been unsuccessful. I sent you an e-mail. Thanks

POI Loader Beta 2.4.0.0 has a screen which asks you select if you want to add new custom POIs or remove existing ones - I've no idea why Garmin removed this screen. They also removed the Help file from the installation package so that's really dumb.
I'll e-mail their Tech Support to find out more.
I've e-mailed the 2.4.0.0 to those requesting it.

| So there is no way to keep the POI's previously uploaded intact & add new ones on the GPS. I had a system crash & lost some old files... Is there a way we can kind of reverse the process and download POI's from a GPS... |
