Hum, I can't seem to get past the blurred launch screen, you must be doing something special, did you just click on the .cab ? For the voices just make sure you hav dataXX.chk in the TomTom folder.

I had problems too until I made an hard reset. Then I relized that the problem was gx.dll (I installed the "pocketpc pack"). I didn't installed from the cab, but from the installer on PC! Using ActiveSync!

I'm sure that all the voices are correctly installed because I've also compared this installation with one on a iPaq PocketPC.

So maybe ActiveSync is sensing it is a different version, that's interesting, I have the .dll from the xania pack too, that's the one I'm refering to. Not sure about the voices, you have the dataXX.chk files ?

Tried ASync but as with the .cab it's not installing at all. Could you detail your steps ? Hard reset, curomized, added gx.dll and that's all or is there more to it ?

Hi! Steps are: Hard-reset, customization (showtaskbar, registry...) BUT NO ADDITIONAL DLL, and install using ActiveSync! I've noticed that even if I select to install it on the StorageCard with ActiveSync, it will always put it on the device! Program and voices! (but not maps! They goes correctly on SD)

PS: when installing it will ask (with a win-ce dialog) to start decompressing cabs. The problem is that OK-button isn't reacheable with stilus, so you can only confirm pressing the nav-key!

Solved the problem voices!!!!
Just create a folder TomTom and copy into it the folder TomTom created by the program.
You need this folder: TomTom\TomTom\dataxx.chk
xx is the number corresponding to the voice you have installed

Good news, I never really got it to work properly, even installation was a problem as the .cab wouldn't decompress most of the time on the device for some reason. I did have some problems completing a route calculation, the "instructions" couldn't seem to get finalized.

Does this mean that it might be possible to install TomTom Nav 5 onto a Navman iCN510?

Most likely not as there is no access to the WinCE shell for the 510. You have that one now ?

Yes my old friend, I just got a new iCN 510 to go along with my Garmin 2610. The Navman has a few nice features that Garmin still refuses to impliment on the 26xx series and probably won't with newer models coming out. I don't think my quest for the "PERFECT" gps nav. system will ever end!!!!! Shoot me a PM sometime--it's been a long time.

Best wishes,
Roger

Hi guys,
after trying installing TT5 (successfully done) on my Medion 200 and configuring GPS as a 'Serial GPS' with 2400 Baud rate, I noted the GPS signal bar in the bottom-right of navigation screen isn't working.
GPS reception is good, and from the GPS Configurazion Panel I am able to see all connected satellites with specific signal strenght.

Someone have the same problem or solved it?

cya!
