If you have a proper File Explorer (like Resco Explorer) you can add the nowarning to the PPC's shortcut as well. But I can tell you that this seems to have no affect.
I have found if you change the registry value: ShowWarning from 1 to 0 (Zero) the next time I load iGuidance the warning screen is skipped. However the running of the app seems to reset the value and the warning screen returns. I tried deleting the value as well then starting iGuideance but this does nothing. iGuidance still shows the warning screen an even recreates the registry entry.

Continue to Final Destination? Does the question annoy you?

This may be just me (because I haven’t yet heard anyone else complain). Occasionally I “accidentally” manage to place a destination point or two into the new Itinerary feature in iGuidance 3.0. This may happen if for example I have a destination plotted and I close iGuidance. Or it may happen when I have a destination plotted and I enter a different destination without first reaching the original destination or without first cancelling the original destination.
For the time being I have no much use for the new Itinerary feature so I thought I would try to disable it to avoid the above little annoyance. This can be done very easily
On your PC navigate to \iNav iGuidance\itinerary.dat and right-click the itinerary.dat file. From the menu select “Properties” and place a check mark in front of “Read only”. That’s it ;-)
On your PocketPC it is done the same way, but you may need connect your device to your PC thru ActiveSync, cut the itinerary.dat file from your PPC and paste it to your PC (on your desktop for example). Change the properties of the file to “Read only”, and cut & paste it back to your PPC.

Bobn, sorry, I missed the first question. If you are asking if there is a version of iGkeys for ppc, then the answer is no. Some of the iGuidance built-in keyboard shortcuts for laptop version work also in the ppc version, but I've never explored the idea of creating a ppc version of iGkeys. I wonder if many people use a keyboard to control functions of iGuidance on a ppc.
You'd like to disable the panning feature? Hmm, I don't know if it is possible. Occasionally I do use the panning feature

Marvin:
I had the same "Continue to Final Destination" annoyance too when I first installed iG3 last week. It was referring to an address that I first entered to test the new map after the fresh installation. Deleting it from the "Recent" list was not helping ...
Anyway, it "mysteriously" disappeared after several routed trips (!!?)

Deleting it from "Recent" will not affect it. It should have been deleted from "Itinerary".
You have entered the destination just for testing purposes, and it remained in "Itinerary because you have never reached the destination, and you have never cancelled the route "properly". Instead you just exited the application (you bad boy!!!).

| Or perhaps they should add another option: "Do Not Ask About This Again" ! |

I'm not sure how I would design that feature. I guess it is just doing what it is supposed to do. But you may be right, now users have only the option to say "YES" or "NO". Saying "NO" will only stop it this time around, but next time you reach another destination you will be asked again. Perhaps beside the "YES" and "NO" there should be a third button "DELETE FROM ITINERARY".
But since the new “Itinerary” is not adding any value to me, I’m quite happy I was able to disable it.

| Does anyone know if there is a way to change the size of the STATE text font? I know how to change the street text size, but not state. In ig3 UMPC it is huge, so I want to make it smaller... |

I think I learned something.... If you set:
NMRC9=255,0,0 you will notice than when you pan the map with the cursor (move it around) the title at the top takes on the color (in this case, red).
I have not seen any effect on NMRC1, NMRC2, etc... |

Justintime, not sure about the font size. I just keep on using the PC version, so that doesn't bother me. Even though I like the large size ETA/DEST/REM/Speed of the UMPC version, the rest of it is way too big for me on my 15 inch (but it seems it is a bit too big for small screen sizes as well.
I have no idea what NMRC is. Are you talking about the bar on top of the screen as seen on the two pictures here: >>click me<< |

| Well, after playing with the new version 3 of iG in the past 2 weeks, it's time for me to replace the GPS arrow via ResHack. In iG3, they moved the arrow icons to the range starting at 176. However, other than the regular red/yellow/green arrow sets, I notice that there's an additional arrow set in 'white' color ... Anybody knows what it's for ??? |
