I know my request isn´t quite orthodox (though this is my religion :) ) but can anyone help me with a registration for AGPS 2.3.40? PayPal doesn´t accept credit card payments from Romania... I would really appreciate.

Mediawiz you could write to support@techgt.com and see if he can accommodate you somehow. But why not giving a try to the newest AutoRoute 2005 instead of MS MapPoint + AGPS? The new AR 05 has added several useful GPS features and you may decide AGPS is no longer necessary for your needs. A list of new features is >>here<< (AutoRoute 2005 has added the same features as its North American cousin Streets & Trips 2005)

Thanks for the tip, Marvin, but I have to remind you an older problem of mine with AR 05: it doesn´t cover my area, Eastern Europe / Romania, that is... So I have to stick to MP 02 & AGPS....

Best regards,
Victor

Hi Victor,

Welcome to GpsPasSion Forums. Yes, there used to be more countries covered, and not just Eastern Europe, but for example Ireland used to have good coverage. Because of the high cost of the map data MS later dropped an existing map data provider. The future from this point looks good however, because NavTeq who currently supplies the needed data is working really hard on adding the missing coverage and more. We'll see what the 2006 versions of MP, AR, and S&T will bring. For more info you may also check this thread: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16861

Thanks to Rainer (a.k.a RErsch) from Germany for bringing to my attention that ARkeys only works with the UK version of MS AutoRoute 2006. Other language versions of AutoRoute require different keyboard shortcuts to access menu items. For example in the UK version to toggle GPS Tracking function via keyboard we need to Alt T G S, but in the German AR 2006 we need to Alt X G S to achieve the same.

The following works only for the UK version:

F4 = Alt T G S = GPS Tracking on/off
F5 = Alt T G M = Arrange map view on/off
F8 = Alt T G A = Rotate map on/off
F9 = Alt U L = Clear route
F10 = Alt V Z O = Zoom-out
F11 = Alt V Z I = Zoom-in
F12 = Alt T G G = Create GPS trail on/off

And these only work for the German AR 2006 version:

F4 = Alt X G S = GPS Tracking on/off
F5 = Alt X G T = Arrange map view on/off
F8 = Alt X G A = Rotate map on/off
F9 = Alt R L = Clear route
F10 = Alt A Z V = Zoom-out
F11 = Alt A Z K = Zoom-in
F12 = Alt X G G = Create GPS trail on/off

MS AutoRoute comes in a variety of languages. I can easily modify ARkeys for any AR language version as long as someone lets me know the keyboard shortcuts in that version for the above seven functions.

Perhaps the help pop-up could be translated, too, if someone wants to take the time, but it is not absolutely necessary for the function of ARkeys.

Version 2.04 is now available.

Added feature: When AutoRoute pops up a message: “No GPS signal for 10 minutes… ”, ARkeys will automatically press the ‘Yes’ button for you.

Fixed: Occasionally ARkeys opened another instance of AutoRoute while one instance was already running.

Fixed: Occasionally <F2> hotkey didn’t activate a minimized AutoRoute window.

Please go to page 1 to download. More fixes coming soon.

It's not perfect, but it works ;-)

[December 7, 2006] Version 2.05 adds function which blocks mouse and keyboard input while some ARkeys functions are running.
