Hi I have a lowrance 3300c fitted in my boat and it is an nema 2000 system, my question is, can I add a transducer to this unit to give me the depth please.

Can't tell you for sure. It's not an automotive GPS and that's all we know about in this forum.

Looking at the user's manual it appears this unit is a GPS chart-plotter only. I don't think that 3300c will display depth from another depth finder on the map. It may, however, transfer GPS coordinates to a depthfinder or radar's screen. NMEA2000 doesn't support the bandwidth for video or other high data rate stuff. The 3300c appears to be a NMEA2000 talker only. It is not set up as a listener on the NMEA2000 buss.

You can use the 3300c to feed data to an autopilot and the NMEA2000 protocol does appear to support the sentences for depth and water temperature - but the unit itself has no port for connecting a transducer so they are of no real use. Probably just holdovers from other models which are combination chartplotter/depthfinder models.
