Hello, hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend.
I have a Nuvi 3590 and was hoping that someone out there with some knowledge of the internal file system may be able to help out as I want to make a couple of custom changes.
• Can the top border color on the screen be changed? • Can the exceed speed warning be changed so it sounds at a different speed than the default 1 mph over?
I noticed that depending on what country you pick, you either get a blue top border with the euro style speed limit sign (the red circle around the speed) or a green top border with the North American style speed limit sign, (white rectangle with black numbers).
These two seem tied together but I would like to have a blue top border with the North American style speed limit graphic. Is there any way to do this?
2nd thing I would love to do it to use the exceed the speed limit warning chime, but I want to configure it to start sounding when I am 6 mph over the limit, not 1 mph as is the default. There are a ton of other custom mods I would love to make as well but these are the main two. I know it is a great unit and I like it just the way it is but I figure since the 3590 has a premium price it really should be a bit more customizable for the end user.
Unless the 3590 is very different from all previous Nuvi models, neither of the changes you want can be made.

You can have a look at the Map Theme files. A lot of customization possible with them. Unfortunatey, I don't know can the top border color be changed with them.
