I had gotten my dad a Lowrance 500C many years ago and it has finally died on him. I am looking to get him a new one now but one of the features he really liked was being able to customize the screen and primarily having the elevation visible all the time. Are there any new units out there that have these abilities out there. I have seen some like the garmins that you can go into other screens to get the info but not put it on the main screen.
I would appreciate any advice on units I should look at.
Yes you can choose to display elevation on a number of curent Garmin models, I have it on my 3790 with the 4 data fields on the side but it should work with the two data fields in the bottom too.
