The Xog has a mini-USB port for power and USB communication. There are no other ports for charging. No, you cannot use the round port next to the USB - in fact, I think that's either the earphone jack or the reset button hole... What is the symbol on the rubber port cover?

The round port is between the mini USB port and the reset button hole. It looks like an earphone jack. Can the mini USB port be replaced, I have not opened the unit up yet. I do not need to communicate with my PC only need to supply the 5 vdc to power it. I really want to keep this thing running as I have many miles of Quebec trails saved.
thank you for your help

That's the earphone jack. No, it cannot be used to power the Xog. The mini-USB port can be replaced but the part is something you're gonna have to search the electronics suppliers for. It's also very small and soldered/glued to the PCB. That's a job best left to the experts. Might want to try taking it to a PC repair place to have one of their techs look at it.

I suspect, however, that you may find it'll cost nearly as much to fix it as to replace it with another entry-level GPS, unfortunately.
