The Tk102-2(yes, it is an original) has the latest update
My laptop via mobile internet (Vodafone net) can receive via SMS the position etc from the unit,
as follows: lat: 38.361067S long: 175.1565497E speed: 0.00 etc...
but if I try to get the unit to SMS to my mobile phone (Telecom NZ) with a position, I get the following reply:
BQS¥dL.lXÇ¥ùL S¡0äfm æ bÖ1c%ø5h¿_SòH9pJ #&ìò .¿¡£$FM 0n<Ç#ùH 6tH_¥D_æ4ÖH_c etc..
I tried it numerous times, every time I get the same characters in the same sequence.
Belinda at belinda@xexun.com, blames it on the simcard, so I got a new sim card for the phone ..>but there is no change. And she(Belinda) is out of options
I tried "format" & swapping simcards etc.
Only my laptop can receive correct data
Can anyone help please..

The tracker sim is 2degrees
I send sms from tracker to my friends phone. also has a Telecom sim. He got an identical reply eg strange characters.
I placed the trackers sim (2degrees) that worked d fine

You mention "Something that makes the encoding of characters using the wrong coding".
I really like to find out what the " Something " is.
The 3 Phone companies in NZ, Telecom. Vodafone and 2Degrees can talk via cell-phones etc and txt to one and other without restrictions.The 2Degrees network uses mainly the Vodafone Towers and is currently building their own network.
I do not have access to an other working Telecom sim, but I did try the Vodafone sim (from the Vodem) in the tracker and the data come through perfectly to the the phone..
Is there a way to completely wipe (I have already tried the format command) All the software of the tracker and re-install the firm/soft-ware?
I have a updated it with the latest .hex file, Belinda sent me. But there was no change in output. |
