According to news on the 'net, Tomtom are just about to release a version of their navigation software for Android smartphones. Yes, I know, we also heard this about 3 years ago too... I wonder if they are simply too late now to get a decent market share, as some of the alternatives seem to be very good.
I have been reading up on this. I am wondering if it will work on our Motorola Defy smartphones. Since it doesn't look like Garmin will every offer StreetPilot Onboard for Android, this might be the next best thing!
Although TomTom states only screen resolution up to 854x480 are supported, inbetween one guy reportet that TomTom also perfectly runs at 960x540 (tested with HTC EVO 3D), another guy reported it works at 1280x800 (tested with Galaxy Note N7000) screens, too. I've tried TomTom at 1024x600: OK.
