| Unless I'm way off base, I thought all Garmin Nuvis came with a suction cup mount and an adhesive disc you attach to your dashboard for it to connect to. |

| Well I looked at the Nuvi 2595 page at Garmin's web site and the "in the box" list doesn't show the adhesive disc. Maybe you need to buy one of those to go with it and attach to the dash instead of to the windshield. But then again, the descriptions found on the web may or may not be entirely accurate. |

| My 2595 just arrived. The dashboard disc isn't in the box, but there's an insert that says if you need one, Garmin will send it to you for free. After registering the device, go to http://www.garmin.com/dashboarddisc to order. |

@sterls18 - the dashboard disc that WAASup mentions is just that, a round plastic disc. It's got adhesive on one side that's used to stick it to your dashboard and then you use the suction cup (windshield mount) that comes with your Nuvi. So you suction cup the Nuvi to the dashboard disk instead of the windshield. Personally I wouldn't go with that option.
I use the bean bag mount, which is the 3rd link in your original post. Have had it for years, used it on 5 different Nuvi's, it's never moved on my dashboard, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I've also heard good things about the 2nd one in your list of links. Never used it myself but I believe it's works better than the bean bag mount if you have a sloping dashboard. I've never seen or used the mount in your 1st link. |

| I use Ram mounts. Very versatile and strong. I have my unit going from dash down and in front of dash. Out of the way and easy to reach. Only Ram mounting can this be done. |

For Garmin friction mount, I would recommend the one in the 3rd link. This is the older model but is much better than the newer one in the 2nd link which left a mark on the dash and the material used gets disintegrated after sometime.
I have discarded one and is still using the older model for years now without any problem. |
