Is there a how to for this? I dropped mine and the mic is intermittent (fortunately the only casualty of the drop). I'm thinking it's just a loose wire, because shaking the gps brings it back. I'd like top open it and see if it's just a broken solder.
A search of YouTube.com for "replace a battery in a Nuvi 3790" came up with this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIDvNmXzowA . It will show you how to open the unit. Not sure if there is an easy alternative to the "special tool" needed.
