Dear friends, It seems someone took by iTrek Z1 from the dashboard. In trying to replace it, I can't find it or the equivalent iBlue 757 pro being sold anywhere.
As far as I can tell, these are the best GPS data loggers ever made. If I am wrong, and there is a replacement, please let me know.
My objectives are: 1) data 2) battery life 3) storage
1) regarding data, a) mine did not seem to have the low speed problem. Under such circumstances: b) it seems the MTK I chipset provides the highest fidelity data, outperforming the MTKII due to a larger antenna? c) switchable 1/5 hz d) both USB and Bluetooth options
2) Battery life. The solar panel seems to compensate for the fact that the MTKII is more energy efficient. I almost never ran out of battery, so the nominal 24 hours is enough.
3) It is good to be able to use the device as a logger. There are many with more room, and buttons for setting markers. That is great, but not enough to choose a logger over something that matches the Z1 on 1 and 2.
Is there currently something that beats the Z1 on all these counts? I would be willing to plug in an external solar panel, if some device has that option. |
