After looking through the Magellan forum I was unable to find any reference to the Magellan Roadmate working with MioPocket. The 3120-MU has a 4.7" screen. I'm unable to figure out the resolution from the specs but it says it is WQVGA. This GPS has some significant software flaws, however with MIOPocket and the proper GPS software it could be a great deal. It's selling @ Walmart for only $50 shipped. If anyone knows a different model with the 3120-MU is compatible with in terms of MioPocket, please let me know.

Just noted that the roadmate 1470 is also a 4.7" screen and seems to work with Miopocket. Would the 1470 unlock procedures/Miopocket software also work with the 3120-MU?

| Bought the Magellan 3120-MU from Walmart for $50 shipped. Bought a 4GB MicroSD with adapter for $8 from Walmart. Received the GPS and updated the Magellan Software to the latest version. The install downloaded to my PC but then failed leaving my GPS a brick. I discovered the location the setup file downloaded to and started it manualy and it updated fine. Followed the Miopocket install instructions. Had to rename to iBoot.exe and iBoot.mscr to get it to work. Then it got in an install fail loop which I resolved by modifying mioPocket.ini set ResetAfterInstall = 0 set file to read only. Works. This is my first GPS. Weird thing is it looks like it installs every time you turn it on? Is this normal? Then I changed the Magellen icon route to internal drive HDD\APP\Navigator.exe. Everything works well video and MP3 worked right away. Also is there any way to exit back to WindowsCE once you start the Nav Shell? |

Its just a text file. While plugged into Your home computer, via USB, browse the GPS to the file and doubleclick it to edit it in notepad. modify the line
ResetAfterInstall = 0
Then save and right click the file, select properties and change it to read only. |

| would it be safe to say that the instructinos included here are correct? how is the performance of this magellan unit? is it good with igo primo installed? |

I installed MioPocket4.0 v68, it run fine. How do you fix reinstalling problem every time your it on?

| yes im having the same problem it keeps restarting and getting stuck in a boot loop i have changed the inf file so that it will not restart after installation but about every three times it gets stuck any ideas? |
