Hi folks,

just wondering if there is any chance to peek at GR236 bluetooth debug messages log? I am asking this because I have no success connecting my Sony Ericsson W150(aka "Yendo") cell phone to GPS receiver via BT, I always get "Connection failed" error message on the phone, although I was able to add GR236 to a device list on my phone with no problems at all.
I use SirfDemo for monitoring GR236's messages, but couldn't find any realtime BT stack messages whilst trying to connect it with my W150...

My GR-236 unit has software ver. "SW Version GSW3.2.4 3.1.00.12-SDK003P1.00a"; S/N: 236-718.....

SonyEricsson W150 specs says it has BT:
"v2.1 with A2DP"(source http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_yendo-3374.php)

GR236 specs says:
Compatible Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP), Version1.1 and class 2(up to 10 meter range).

Thank you for any ideas!

Those Bluetooth modules are very versatile. Disassemble the receiver, identify the module and find a decent documentation. Most likely defaults are the transparent mode and any diagnostics turned off (ideal for a dumb cable replacement while everything works). Then, after a bit of soldering and interfacing with the computer, and perhaps even after some programming, you might acquire some equivalent of these messages.

Can't offer any real reverse-engineering facts because mine still works (don't fix it if it ain't broke) and no problems so far with a couple of smartphones and a few computers.
