I'm getting a tablet and probably the Toshiba thrive! How can I get info
on which gps chipset it uses and/or is there a table that shows which chipsets all the tablets use?
I haven't looks at what chipsets are available now, which would be better?

Thanks

Pete

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S2 that uses the SiRFstarIV chipset, most smartphones and tablets use the "bundled" GPS chipset that comes with the GSM/GPRS modules, i.e. Qualcomm gpsOne. It has improved a lot from its rocky beginnings in 1986 and on my HTC HD2 for instance I've found that it provides reliable performance.
