Has anyone experienced the batteries on a 60CSx to die overnight, with the unit OFF. I use NiMh batteries, it's set on this in the Setup menu.... they somehow seem to die ovenight.
GPS works normally, all functions as far as I can tell.
Yes, I've had that problem and generally speaking my NiMH batteries quickly (less than a year) stop holding the charge or even can't be charged. How old are your NiMH batteries ?
I bought them in January, they are the Eneloop from Sanyo. Hard to tell which ones are which as I have around 12 x AAs, and some could be older. I haven't noticed this in the HCx though.
I've heard good things about the Sanyo Eneloop and since they're less than a year old and hold the charge ok it has to be something else. Are you running the latest software on your 60CSx? I've switched to the Oregon and also see it drawing power when it's off, very annoying...
