Moderators, It would no doubt be useful to people if you would include this information into your FAQ. Whenever I've wanted to attach a file (or do anything similar), I've gone to the FAQ, only to read "For security reasons, you may not attach files to any posts. However, you may cut and paste text into your post," and, until only recently, would give up. Now that I know better, it takes me quite a bit of digging around to find posts like this that have the upload URL in them. It would really make sense and be helpful to a lot of people, if it and some simple instructions were in the FAQ. Thanks.
EDIT: Also, a suggestion: edit the .asp upload page to return the actual link, rather than the local filename (which is useless to the user). Even better would be to make it a clickable link so that one need only right-click on it and choose "Copy Shortcut." |
