| The Lifetime Updater and the old-fashioned way both left me with "unable to authenticate maps" errors. Called Garmin, and they fixed it for me. Just be aware of it (This was on a 3790T with 4.30 firmware). |

| The JCV file has grown to 468MB. The DC metro now has photo realistic JCV displays, with split views in both portrait and landscape orientation. |

Must be model specific as my 1490LMT update only gave my JCV file 51mb. |

POI Shopping Center data still incorrectly includes Business Supply Stores (eg. Staples). If anyone has any idea of how one might ever get this fixed, I'm open to suggestions. Navteq Map Reporter does not allow POI category classification changes and my error reports to Garmin are apparently fruitless too. It's been incorrect for over two years' worth of releases now. |

| Yea, the jcv file on my 775T (8 gigs) shrank to 49 megs. I used the old update method though, not the new Lifetime Updater. |

Why is it the Garmin updater didn't tell me there was an update available? Seems it only checks when I tell it to. |

Hi everyone. I am hoping for some help.
I have the 1490 and I just downloaded the newest maps using the lifetime updater. I get a error that the maps cannot be installed. It looks like there is not enough room on the unit. I already have removed all the languages except for one and custom poi's and anything else I can think of but still not enough space.
Is there anyway with the lifetime updater to have the map installed to the 4 gig sd card that I have in the unit? I want to load everything and have a full size junction view file also. I don't want to use Map source to load just part of the file.
With the map file growing everytime, which is a good thing, there must be a way for us to load the updates on a card.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks |

Do you have the newest version (2.0.5) which was released yesterday? |

| Yes. When the update was announced, I went to the updater, I had to click on check for update for each of the 4 devices I have to get it to start downloading. |

| That's because this program is designed to check weekly for updates (and download automatically once they’re found). You don’t need to have your device plugged in for it to run, check, or download. The button on the screen will allow you to check more frequently (or force it to check once you read on the forums that the update has been released). As with the automatic (weekly) check, you do not need your device plugged in to force it to check, retrieve the update or initiate the download. |

| Ahhhh, ok...although I thought a couple of thje devices showed over a week since they'd been checked. I'll watch that now to make sure they do at least weekly. |
