Since we seem to be lacking a Webupdater reference topic I'll start a new one for this new version of the WebUpdater, a tool that makes it easy to keep our Garmin GPS systems up to date and with more control over what's going than "MyDash" on the my.garmin.com site.
Changes made from version 2.4.2 to 2.5.1: - Added ability to update devices with invalid GarminDevice.xml. - Added overall progress for multiple updates. - Added Select All/None checkbox on the Multiple Updates page. - Added error reporting.

Webupdater 2.5.1 does not yet see 2.5.2 when it checks for program updates. So you'd need to use the download link posted above to update to 2.5.2. |

• This software requires Windows Media Player 11 (a free download from Microsoft).
What? Why?
Also:
• For some unit updates, this software will clear user memory, including 'Recent Finds' and 'Favorites.' Please back up important data such as routes, tracks, and waypoints to MapSource prior to updating. |

Anyone seen an issue on the "My Dashboard" from garmin.com? I have a 2460 and when I connect to "My Dashboard", I am told my software has an update. I proceed to do the update and the unit never shuts off like it says it should. Then I manually power off and on and reconnect and I am still told there is an update. When I connect via webupdater, I am told my software is up to date. Which should I believe?
Thanks Dan

| Yes, believe Webupdater. myDashboard is probably just showing some voice file isn't the most recent version. That's 100% of the problem with myDashboard, it says there are updates but you have no way of telling what is being updated. |

| Thanks for the replies. I just found the sticky about webupdater vs my garmin (my dashboard). That was very helpful! |

| How can I tell which version of webupdater I have? No about or help buttons in view. Nothing in the program files/garmin directory. |

| On the first window that pops up, right-click on the title bar that says "Webupdater". You should get an "About Webupdater" option that shows the version. |

| Thanks, that worked, would never have thought to try that. I'm on 2.5.2 so no worries. |
