I have an iway600c in dash gps and mp3 player, but cant add files to the internal drive, it keeps coming back with a drive write protected error? does anyone know how to remove the write protection?
I am having the same problem with write lock error. I have added mp3 files to this unit in the past and have not seen this error before. I can't see any mechanism to change the write lock at the disk level. Can anyone help?
I took your comment about Windows 7 as a potential problem and carried the IW600 over to my old XP laptop and moved the files with no problem whatsoever.
I also realized that I had loaded the previous files from XP.
