Prior to upgrading to IOS 4.3 I had till May 2011 on my traffic subscription. Today the first time I used my iPhone 4 after setting the route and seeking traffic I get the following under Traffic, "No Active subscription". What happened to my traffic? I tried the restore Purchases button and still nothing. TomTom support of no real help on this.
Could this be a reason for the failure of traffic on the iPhone 4
I saw this last night (this side of the pond) on everythingIcafe and was wondering if this could be the issue (in bold and underlined)
In the wake of iOS 4.3 http://http://www.everythingicafe.com/apple-promises-ios-4-3-1-patch-to-fix-security-flaw/2011/03/11..., Apple promised to push out an update to iOS 4.3 bringing it to iOS 4.3.1. http://http://www.bgr.com/2011/03/21/apple-ios-4-3-1-coming-within-one-to-two-weeks/, it’ll land within the next two weeks. Here’s what they say will be in it: Baseband updates for the 3GS and iPad (original) Fixed memory hang that results in memory corruption when reading large files from USIM filesystem Fixed problem with NTLM authentication in apps and on websites Fixed issue with the Springboard and 3rd party apps not recgonizing the gyroscope on the iPad 2 Fixed iPad 2 jailbreak vulnerability
Your links are not working but I'm not seeing anything in the "fix" list that would help with that problem. Haven't had other reports in the ENG or FRA forums, maybe something on your side, give TomTom a holler!
Ok it has been several days on the phone with TomTom and with iTunes: now the problem solved
First iTunes is now trying to delete several charges on my account, TomTomUSA and Canada and 4 traffic subscritptions
Just got off with one of the TomTom upstairs support guys. I am sorry but in my excitement I forgot his name. My traffic is back.
The most important thing is every TomTom devise must have a unique email address. There was some cross over between my 740 and my iPhone. We have solved by using my old account on the iPhone not the new gmail address. And one shot and traffic is back. I am now valid until 2013. I do not really care it seems to be working.
If you run into a problem before you go off the deep end confirm your email address for the devise with them.
