Well, I have bought it 2 months ago, here in Italy from Euronics, for 169 leuri, with complete European Maps.
I am quite satisfied with it as it does everything I need, even sync with PalmDesktop (using software from CompanionLink), so it took the place of my Siemens M75, my Handera 330 and my Nüvi 310.
My pockets are lighter, indeed, as it is quite small.
The box contained the phone, car mount, car charger, AC charger with European and British adapters (no US one!), earphones with mic, starter's guide and adhesive disk to use the car mount on a dash.
As a navigator works quite well, both in the car and on foot, even if the screen is a tad small, or maybe I am a getting old, at 43...
As my first smartphone, I find it useful, able to do everything I need, and with good speed, but I come from a Siemens M75, so I cannot tell you if it is better or worse of other phones.
As a phone, it works quite well.
The battery life is quite good, between two or three days using Wi-Fi, GPS and UMTS/GPRS data access only when needed.
I have already updated the maps from 2011.20 to 2011.32, but I doubt that I will get other updates, as my 60 days have expired.
The first MicroSD I fit was a C4 4GB, but I since moved to c4 8GB, as I am going to install the US maps on it (along with my MP3s, which already filled the 4GB...)
Problems: I find that the accelerometers are a getting more and more unresponsive, with the Breeze interface, when tilting the phone from portrait to landscape and vice versa. What's funny is that a level program feels them perfectly, and the classic interface feels it, more or less... It's quite slow on switch on.
I'll add other thoughts and photos... |

Thanks or sharing and sorry to hear about the accelerometer problem. It does look like a responsiveness issue with the interface, probably trying to do too much for the CPU ressources available.
Are you able to download all the Market apps, like the Androzic port of OziExplorerCE ? In combination with Mobile Atlas Creator (see http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/news.asp?id=452) it lets you navigate with topo maps for free, like the OSM maps.
Looking forward to your pictures. In the meantime here are some I took last year when it was launched in Paris:

So, given that yesterday I fell, and I slightly injured my knee, I am staying three days home from work, and I could give you a few photos of what is inside the box of a Garmin-ASUS A10.
First photo: the box!

Second photo: the A10 inside the box !

Just on the right of the finger-hole you can note the protective film which was placed on the display of the A10.
Third photo: all the stuff which was inside the box!

Under the box, from top left, in clockwise order:
- The Quick Start Guide
- the car carger
- the powered car mount (LOUD!)
- the microUSB cable, to be used to connect the A10 to the computer AND the AC charger
- the AC charger with the French/Italian and UK adapters. The US adapter is not provided.
   - the usual disk which can be used to fix the car mount on the dash of the car, instead of the windshield
- earbuds, with replacement sponges.
Whenever I ask Garmin where to get the US adapter, I get the canned answer: "Check in our webshop!" where it is NOT available...
BTW, a lot of people is selling it online, in Italy.

I am watching the price like a hawk, and if it drops below 100 leuri I will probably get a spare... |

I installed the CNNT NA maps on it, on a SD card, and went to America, to see the last-but-one shuttle launch.
When I arrived in Orlando at 0300 there was a small panic attack when it decided NOT to compute the route to the hotel, but I solved it by disabling the CNNT EU maps.
Finding the correct setting screen at three o'clock in the flapping morning was not easy...
Then it drove me faithfully during the whole trip. Without Junction View, as I discovered later on the forum.
I created a map on GoogleMaps with the stuff I wanted to see, than I transferred it on the A10 using TakItaWithMe. http://tinyurl.com/65nj9uz http://www.takitwithme.com/
Too bad that the launch was postponed until after the end of my vacation...
Now I have bought the Nümaps NA+EU lifetime update, and I am updating it like crazy. |

Looks like that was a busy trip! I'm also a big fan of trip planning on MyMaps. Direct access is possible from Google Navigaion on Android, but conversion to GPX is handy to export it to a GPS, like I've done with my 3790. |

No, I was NOT using Gmaps on the A10, I was using it on the PC at home.
Now I am going to read the Locus thread, but I am not impressed about the idea of using the A10 for such a use, the screen is too small... |

The fault is always of the United States!
Well, this time also of Canada, Mexico and a handful of other American states...
Yesterday I got the error "Garmin services are temporarily unavailable" from my A10 whenever I tried to access the navigation system.
PANIC! TOTAL PANIC.
Switched it of multiple times, removed and replaced battery, SIM and SD card, always to no avail.
Then I nuked it. Total Factory Reset. Hold both sides of the volume rocker while you switch on the telephone.
"Garmin services are temporarily unavailable"... AAAARGH!
Then I spent a beautiful restoring my contacts and calendar entries from PalmDesktop (have I told you how great is CompanionLink?) and the apps from the Market (have I told you how great is the Android OS and the market?)
Now I will spend a beautiful time restarting each application, replacing the icon on the screen, and reconfiguring their preferences, remembering the passwords where neeeded.
This morning I decided to connect the SD card to the computer using an external SD card reader.
Meanwhile I switched the phone back on, and accessed the maps.
No problem at all.
The CNNT NA on the SD card got somehow corrupted, and I reset Marvin, the Paranoid Android Smartphone, without a real motive.
AAAARGH! |

Yes, reinstalled all the apps from the Market, the contacts from PalmDesktop, and now, whenever I reuse an app for the second first time, I must reconfigure it.
I still have to reinstall the CNNT NA maps, but at the moment I do not need them.
And I do not know if I could have cured the problem by simply reinstalling them. |

Purchased a used one of these that came without a headset.
Has anyone found a compatible aftermarket headset?
Not looking for bluetooth (as I probably wouldn't use it much).
