When did they released this? I check this morning and there was nothing.
I wish they clarify what "Various bug fixes and improvements" actually means. |

I'm on a Mac. Tried the web updater twice and no go. It seemed to download ok but When I restarted never got the "updating software" page.
Went to the Garmin web and used "my dashboard" and successfully updated.
I can confirm the ecoRoute HD works with an Acura RSX.
The proximity alerts toggle for custom POI has been corrected.
The USB safely disconnect seems to work now.
There is a new safety feature...you must enter your unlock code to mount the Garmin drive on the computer.

Fixes do not include the double search results bug for Canadian locations. |

| I don't recall what the previous *Bluetooth firmware* version was under v2.50 firmware but this newest firmware v3.60 (Bluetooth v3.0.35 P55) release has fully corrected the Bluetooth issue between the 3790 and my old MotoKRZR where the phonebook *never* transferred to the nuvi. Bravo! If you've ever had this issue between your phone and the 3790, give 3.60 a try and see if it corrects this issue. |

Here's the direct download link:
http://www.garmin.com/software/nuvi37xx_GCDFile__360.gcd
In the future, if you want the direct download link for a firmware:
1. Go to the changelog link topic here: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=125920
2. Find your unit and click on the link provided
3. When at Garmin's changelog page, use your browser to view the page source. In Firefox, it's View/Page Source (similar in Internet Explorer)
4. Read the first paragraph of the page source which will give you the direct link to the firmware update file.

I have compared the two .GCD files and noticed that the 2.50 version was 42,152kb whereas the 3.60 version is 49,352kb which is quite a sizeable increase - wonder if this is to do with increased functionality?

yes. They added 440 new symbols in resources.bin. Since I still cannot decode garmin bitmaps of format type 6, I can't tell you what they are. This makes me remember I need to get back to my GIR editor...
@SergZak, thanks for the link and explanation. I remember reading your post some time ago, but I completely forgot. I spend more time looking at bits & bytes than to read forums anymore...

Just a heads up after update to 3.60
If you use Garmin Lock now when you plug in the USB cable instead of going to the black screen with just the Garmin name and USB logo it goes to the unlock screen.
You have to type your Garmin Lock code before you can link to your PC through the USB port. Looks like they added this step so no one else can alter the code updates without the proper Lock code.
Got my EcoRoute HD from Amazon.com for $70 last week. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

Still have no POIs on map., no scale and compass at left lower.,

Can not use exif photo (Sg/My 2.30 .., CN 2.20 can do)

no MP3

Continue :: From Change History "Various bug fixes and improvements" It seem Garmin is thinking..(Edit from Garmin is saying...) no POIs on map is not a bug but it's a normal feature of US/EU firmware.
MP3 is not a must have thing.
No need to know how far from cuurent location to any point on map so it still have no scale.
No need to know which direction you are going to.., north or south. The Exif photo is useless so US unit will not support this feature.
And US and EU people all have so much time., so they can wait for all day to see simulator without speed up function.
