| Singapore Malaysia JCV is locked for SG/MY firmware only, and US JCV also work on SG/MY. I test it out the other day with GPS off. Junction view is in high def format for SG/MY. |
Nuvi 360 US, Nuvi 765T TW, Nuvi 3790T US, Successful flash 765T TW and 3790T US to SG/MY |

oh I get it now. Geez, why do they make it so complicated? Wouldn't it be easier for them (and better for us) to make one full featured version of fw for all markets? I mean, smartphones are taking over, and those who buy PND are probably "power" users who want it all |

Does anyone knows if these Sg/Mal or TW firmwares will work on a 3750 US (HWID 1101) ?
Thanks |

| It will. Just change HWID in Sg firmware and upload it into 3750 US/EU version. |

@PouchX Is it necessary to keep us boot.bin when doing as you suggest? |

Keep boot.bin from your original firmware version. Using original boot.bin wont brick your unit. Sometimes other verion boot.bin can work also... but you have to try. But REMEMBER... that can be your last try!!! |

@rtsouza:
This the third version of this question you have posted. Please stick to one appropriate topic and do not double/triple-post -- the 750 thread is not the right one and neither is this one.
Thank you.

I think this is imoprtant info. I flashed my N3790 with Sg/Mal firmware 2.20 (boot EU, resources SG, fw_all SG) And it works fine. Now, I can not go back to EU/USA version :) N3790 accepts original (EU) GUPDATE.GCD but after flashing.. Nuvi reboots itself all the time.
PS. My N3790 is PCB P/N 105-01652-00, PCB Ver 7

There is new 2.30 Sg/Mal firmware also: http://download.garmin.com/sg/download/SG_SW_UPGRADE/nuvi3790_SGMY_v230.exe

| Hi PouchX, I had experienced similar issue with a Nuvi265W (US/Eu version) that was flashed with a wrong RGN (the non-working Nuvi was brought to me for repairs). Finally, I managed to revert to original firmware using (normal) RGN. However, any attempts to use GUPDATE.GCD or Webupdater to update after that will result in a looping boot-up. So, I'd guess somehow at this point, only RGN is usable to update the firmware. |

| I forgot to add that original .rgn does not help also. |

| I'm sure you had removed GUPDATE.GCD prior to flashing with RGN, hadn't you? |
