Was your Roadmate really bricked or was it just new and you installed Miopocket for the first time?

I MANAGED TO unbrick my device!!! YES!!!

Step:

first i formated memory card and copied over the miopocket version 4 rev 61 to the sd card.

renamed mioautorun to iboot

ran start up the magellan the it loaded into the miopocket

next i downloaded the update files from this link

http://magellan.cachefly.net/softwareupgrades/web/Magellan_RoadMate_1440_2_20_Rel2.zip

this is cool!! you can find it for other gps too!!! eg.
http://magellan.cachefly.net/softwareupgrades/web/Magellan_RoadMate_1470_2_20_Rel2.zip WORKS!!! just change the 1440 to your model!!
next i created a folder on my sd card named backup
i extracted the Magellan_RoadMate_1440_2_20_Rel2.zip
then extracted the Magellan_RoadMate_1440_2_20_Rel2.exe

i coped navigator.exe from copy group 3
and all the files from copy group 4,9,10 into the backup folder in side sd card

next i booted the magellan and loaded up filemance
i coped everything from backup folder to the APP folder inside the HDD(internal memory of gps)
overwrite everything!!

once finished turn off gps, remove memory card, and plug in usb cable!

load up magellan content manager and turn on gps
wait about 2-4 min and it will show you USB connected menu! magellan content manager will pick up your gps and tell you their are updates! update the gps!! once finished unplug gps turn on without memory card and there you go!!! magellan will boot the update files for the system then run the magellan navigator properly like it did from factory!! (note: it might hang for about 5-10 seconds at one part when you think it is frozen, just wait 10 seconds and it will pass!!)

thank you all in this forum i have learnt alot from reading!!<

AND EXTRA THING TO ADD::::
if you place memory card back in , it will automatically boot miopocket!! which is neat because without memory card you boot regualr! with memory card you boot miopocket!!! nice!!
