Hi Khakev,

All of 3 ways doesn't work. It is very strange. I have another Maestro 4370 and Asus R300, both are unlock with MIO and have no problem to get to standby mode. Again, thanks so much for your time. BR.

Yeah, it's very strange. I'm out of ideas now. So your device OEM can put it to standby still? Have you got a chance to check out the hidden menu on yours? Can you suspend it from the hidden menu using the OEM Shell or the power button? You can try to update the firmware but not guarantee it will help.

If you copy explorer.exe to \Windows\, these buttons should be enabled.

Explorer.exe was already on \Windows as OEM but no go.

I just wanted to add that I've followed the thread here (well original post really) for an MSD card install of the Mio Pocket software - and whule it does in fact run.... just about EVERYTHING in the software does not.

Nearly everything you click on simply gives an error popup about the feature, or application not existing. Even simple things like closing a program. Here's a good example: If I run the Theremin app on my 5045 for - and it's one of the few that do work - then you try to close the program by clicking the X at the top right of the screen you are treated to an error dialog explaining that "programclose" or "applicationexit" (I forget exactly) doesn't exist. This is an example - but it's the same in ANY program you get to open.

Even simple things like closing a window do now function.

Try to use one of the two buttons at the bottom right that are always there - same thing - an error pop up about the feature or executable not being found.

Thought you should know :/

I'm available to give more info if you want it.

I am attempting to install 4.0 version 68 on a Magellan RoadMate 5045 and seem to get an endless loop after installation completes.

I get the "Installation complete. attempting to reboot." message on screen.

It then reboots and then I get a splash screen that says: "Your device needs to be restarted to increase performance. Please wait while your data is saved." Then it does a reboot. Does this for 25 times, then turns off.

Does anyone have any idea why I am getting the loop after installation?

Please let me know what other details would be helpful.

Thanks for any help!

Doing this on mine, too. Renamed files:
GC333AutoRun.inf (as per instructions specific to RoadMate)
iBoot.exe
iBoot.mscr

Hope this can be solved.
EDIT:
Found out through web search that a change to a parameter can be made to stop the loop.
Go into MioAutoRun folder and edit the ini file, within the [Unlock] section.
ResetAfterInstall=0

I've only tried media player and at least that works okay for me, but as said where I found this temporary solution parts of the installation might actually require a restart.

A short while after doing this I got the error again. I put the SD Card back on my PC and found that ResetAfterInstall had been set back to 1. I change it back to 0 and gave it read only attributes. This is working, so far...

OK, I installed MioPocket 4.0 (Release 68) on my 3045 and had the same problem. Did the ResetAfterInstall=0 edit in the MioPocket.ini file, and had to set it to read only as above. MioPocket is now installed and running.

But if I go to Tools/Task Manager and press Processes, it triggers the "Your device needs to be restarted to increase performance. Please wait while your data is saved." loop again.

If I remove the uSD card, the reboot loop stops and it boots into Windows CE. I can run the Magellan map application by going to My Device/Windows/AppStartupPri.exe. But if I plug the uSD card back in it goes back into the reboot loop.

The only way I have found to break the loop and boot into MioPocket again is to power the unit completely off and on via the power switch. Just triggering a reset via the power switch does not break the loop.

Also doing a soft or hard reset from the Power Options menu in MioPocket triggers the reboot loop as well. Standby works fine. Shutdown/Restart triggers the loop while Shutdown/Shutdown does a power off and MioPocket starts normally on power on.

I have installed mio pocket successfully and everything works great except anytime i run a program with the .exe extension or try to run .exe checker i get the endless reboot cycle. I tried setting the reset after install = 0 and making the .ini file a read only document but it resets itself automatically. I am trying to use the scummvm emulator. I cant find any solutions to this if someone can help me i would really appreciate it i am dying to play this at work :P
