If you did it the first way, try doing it the second way. If you did it the second way, do the Edit Icon thing again and set the icon's path back to MioAutoRun\Scripts\DestinatorLauncher.mscr, then open MioPocket Settings, go into the General sub-menu, choose "Edit navigation paths" and set the Destinator path to the Mireo software.
It worked, tnx man! |

Either you've made a mistake naming the part you install to or you've made a mistake reading.
On a PNA you have 3 distinctively different storage areas. - the SD Card - keeps data regardless of reset - My flash drive - keeps data regardless of reset - Root(\) - reverts back to default on a hard reset, but not on a soft reset!
MioPockets first installation cycle ends with a soft reset, not a hard reset. If in your case, really a hard reset should occur, you have a problem.

Gremlin,
you can not call Root a ordinary storage area, because it is in devices RAM and RAM is needed for programs to run. And yes after a Hardreset it is clean, which exactly what it is supposed to be. It isn't in any case an option to copy Miopocket to.
bsweeny,
There are two places where you can copy Miopocket. Nowhere else!! Storage Card and internal Storage Card (My Flash Disk/Flash Disk) If your Flash disk is out of space, then Storage Card is the only remaining option to copy Miopocket to. Do that!!
Then report the problems you have.
My advice: report in clear short sentences, without incomprehensible gibberish ;) |

I've already copy .rom file to Mio Pocket\Windows and .dll file to Mio Pocket\System (only two files are inside .cab file). I also put registry from .cab to Mio Pocket\Registry\Custom. I think that I doing something wrong because things what I've done don't working.

tomek, Have you tried following MioPocket's WiFi instructions? The Spectec files are already in MioPocket. You shouldn't need to install any .cab file. Just see MioPocket's Readme.
I tried follow instructions (move registry for spectec 821 to "custom") but it don't working. Nothing hapens, when I inserting card into device, no led blinking, no wifi connection window appear... When I install driver that comes with spectec without registry move to "custom", there also is no wifi connection window appear, but led is blinking. I must move registry and install driver. Maybe someone with wifi card will help me? |

Hello,
Here is my question: Each time I update miopocket (release 63 to 64, then 64 to 65...) I have to re configure all the favorites icons I put on the "favorites screen". What is the file i have to save before updating, in order to keep my favorites icons ?
Many Thanks to all |

MioAutoRun\Skin\iPhoneToday\icons.xml But don't forget, if Osprey is adding a program and you use your "old" icons.xml, the new icon will not be included. Therefore another solution could be to open the new icons.xml with notepad++ and copy only the Favorites part from your old one

Yes! Seems you got it! ;)

Your problem isn't Memory card, especially not if you'd format from time to time with SD Formatter, included in Miopocket Extras. Your problem is definetely WinCE 4.2. So what you have to do is install Miopocket on your memory card and look into each program, which is not working seperately. Beneath peinfo, dependency walker, CFF Explorer, ROM Extractor, your main helper is EXE Check in Miopocket Tools. ==> Start EXE check ==> search the .exe of the program and click OK ==> in most cases the problem reported will be something like "Can not find coredll.dll" ==> if so "Re-write Lib Name" and rename coredll.dll to coredl2.dll (please not coredll2.dll) ==> try execheck again, if problem consists, copy the coredl2.dll out of Miopocket/System folder into folder of the program ==> try execheck again, if problem consists, copy the coredl2.dll out of Miopocket/System into devices Windows folder. ==> try execheck again, if problem consists, copy the several coredl2.dll out of Miopocket/System into devices Windows folder. ==> try execheck again, if problem consists, try out other coredl2.dll you can find here http://hpcmonex.net/izemize.htm

qpcxd, Rename MioMap.exe.id to MioMap_orig.exe.id, then copy MioMap.exe.id from the MioPocket zip's Extras\Device-Specific Install folder.
tomek, If the LED is blinking, that's a good sign. Have you gone into Control Panel to find the connection window that you're looking for? Do a search here for a thread named "Wifi on the c520" that has the most information on getting WiFi cards working. If you can't find what you need, perhaps posting in it will get the attention of some of the posters in it.
papouphil, If you simply copy the MioAutoRun folder of each new release over your existing one, it will not replace your icons. Instead, when MioPocket starts up, a question will pop up, saying, "New icons have been detected. Would you like to backup your current icons and use the new ones?" If you choose No, your current icon layout will not change. If you choose Yes, your current icon layout will be backed up and replaced with the new release's. At any time, you can go into Skin Changer, press the "Backups & Defaults" icon and restore the backup.
ZT-180, Oh, you need to copy toolhelp.dll from the MioAutoRun\System\CE6 folder to the MioAutoRun\Scripts, MioAutoRun\Programs and MioAutoRun\Programs\MortScript folders. This is because CE6 doesn't like the older toolhelp.dll that's in those folders. Installation replaces it in all places, but, since you're skipping installation, you need to copy them, yourself. |

Gremlin, Yes, the basic principle is applicable to any CE version. If you can find all of the DLLs required by the app and the DLLs are for your CE version or earlier, there's a good chance that you can get it working (unless your device is one that's severely crippled, like the Mio c220 or Omnitech). In your example, though, you will have to also choose the "Re-write Version" button of EXE Check to change the 5.0 to 4.0 so that the app doesn't just quit when it sees that you have CE4.
Now, all of that said, there aren't that many "CE5" ("CE 5.0 Core") apps, since the main Microsoft roadmap went straight from Pocket PC 2003 (CE4) to Windows Mobile 5, but WM5 is a lot more than just CE5. It sort of has a whole 'nother layer on top of CE5. That's where the "Core" comes from: our devices have a stripped down WM5 and most WM5 (and WM6) apps just won't work on it... at least unless someone can figure it out (believe me, I've tried and failed miserably countless times).
BTW, just to comment on bumbum's instructions: coredl2.dll is definitely something to try, but I think should be tried last. I've lost a little faith in how useful it really is and have recently backed away from using in MioPocket. I think that it might cause more problems for people than it solves, since it's the coredll.dll from some specific, unknown device. The best coredll.dll is usually the one that comes with your device (naturally), so try everything that you can using that before making the app use coredl2.dll, instead. |
