| Just seen a friend's 3790 (manufactured mid July) and this has firmware 2.30 loaded on it (wasn't aware Garmin had used anything other than 2.20 in production until 2.50 was issued). It states PCB version 8 and trafficTrends Europe is version 3 yet maps are 2011.10 so trafficTrends data doesn't seem to be dependent on the quarterly map udates(albeit the database file for trafficTrends 3 is half the size of the trafficTrends 2 file on my 3790T). |

| Probably due to the European version of the 37xx series being available a few weeks before we could buy them in North America. My 3790, purchased the week they became available in Canada, arrived with version 2.30 installed and I have since updated to 2.50. |

Well, I'm kinda glad I returned my 3790t. Looks like Garmin has introduced a functionally similar model, it can be used vertically or horizontally but without the uber-thin form factor.
However, I do like that the Garmin nuvi 2360LMT offers free, lifetime traffic plus maps. It appears to have all the features I want and lists for $300.

Don't know if it has the same fast chip the 3790t has though. |

| We're not talking about the same GPS here...and no, it does not have the "same fast chip". It is based on the 1xxx platform. You can't even compare the 2. |

I have wondered whether this was the case myself. Do you know this for a fact somehow? If the user interface is the same with the 3d map browser, terrain, buildings, etc... then performance is going to be pretty sluggish on the 23x0.
With the lower screen resolution they won't be able to use the same small fonts to label all the streets like they do on the 37x0. I am still really happy with my 3790t, although admittedly it was pricey. |

| I do know for a fact, yes. It's possible the processor has been upgraded, that much I'm not sure about, but it's still the 1xxx platform. |

| Has anyone noticed a problem using the the voice command feature of the nuvi 3790 with the iphone 3GS? When I make an outgoing call using the voice command feature, the call appears to connect, but I can not hear the other party and they can not hear me. |
